Although a bit of a way from Skövde, the grounds were lovely, staff incredible, room and shower very comfortable, breakfast options abundant, rates very good. We stayed over Midsommar weekend and the traditional Toast Skagan appetizer was very good. The staff were very accommodating and cheerful. They made an effort to connect with lodgers. A shoehorn was provided, which is essential.

An amazing charming small hotel, i stay in here everytime i get a chance and even would recomend to make a trip just for the hotel. Dinner and breakfast also world class ❤️

There is a sign by the entrance of the main building claiming this is a 4 star mansion. I would give it 2 stars - and still being generous. Our room (in a red brick building far from the main) was small, run down – and with a cheap double bed. On the hottest day of the year we could not open the windows, as they were right next to the entrance. Of course no air-con, but thankfully a fan. The estate have several dead trees, and more seem to be dying. Paint is peeling off the grand old main house. On the positive side: Great breakfast, friendly staff and the golfing seems good (not a golfer myself). For a stopover, look elsewhere. For a golf weekend with buddies, it might be your thing. Just don‘t expect high standard accommodation.

Svært hyggelig frokostbetjening og innsjekk. Service i restauranten til middag var dårlig. Reiste alene og ble neglisert av betjeningen. Ingen kom å ville ta imot min bestilling før etter 25 minutter og etter naboen gjorde servitøren oppmerksom på meg. Bordene stod altfor tett..ca 10-15 cm til nabobordene. Aperolglasset ble aldri fjernet. Ingen spørsmål om maten var god, før jeg gikk for å betale. Altfor uerfarne servtører til et slikt sted. Det som reddet kvelden var at kjøttet var utmerket, selv om de glemte saus og tomatsalad som nabobordet fikk. Det var godt for Knistad at jeg ikke var mystery guest…

Lyhört. Lät som elefanter gick i rummen ovan. Omodernt liten tv- skärm. Fanns ingen bra lättare meny ex för fika en sallad i baren etc. Inget nescafe/ the på rummet. MYCKET bra och ta tacksamt att man kunde ha med hundar utan extra kostnad. Ger överlag intryck av att vara en välfungerande verksamhet. Vänligt.
