Staff was so friendly and greeted us upon arrival. Kitchen had everything we needed and the rooms were very clean. The pool/spa is a minute walk just down the road, the front desk lady was so nice. Definitely recommend this place to stay!

Rooms were so tiny we had to buy a second room
We had great communication with the property and they were so accommodating. However, when we showed up, we walked into the room and couldn't really fit. There was no where to store our bags and we ended up having to buy a second room just so we could sleep comfortably. However, the joint kitchen was lovely - we had a large fridge we could use and enjoyed the space until late in the evening.

Excellent, updated/modern guesthouse. Kitchen has all the dining tools you need. Room is large and spacious as is the bathroom. The best part is the view from your room to the ocean. Saw whales from the rear of my room. Absolutely beautiful walk to beach and water from room. Highly recommend.

The room is spacious and clean. The view is amazing and mesmerizing. The property is mouse quiet. The room had one operable window which allowed fresh air entry. The bed was very comfortable. The Harbor restaurant next door was VERY GOOD.

Quiet Place To Unwind
Had an amazing view of the bay from our room . Was clean and pretty good space. Area was quiet. Would definitely recommend this place.

There is a beautiful little trail literally up the up from the guesthouse. Has a beautiful view point of the ocean.

Great guesthouse in a town that’s not so nice
The guesthouse is new, well designed and spotless. They have a full kitchen that one can use to cook a meal. The town is not very nice, but there is one good restaurant 3 min walk from the Guesthouse plus there’s a gas station where one can get snacks.

Very nice stay for 3 nights. The only negative is no TV available. Was great to have a full kitchen. We used that a lot after shopping at the nearbr grocery store in Blonduos. Saved a lot of meal money cooking meals. Also washer and dryer available after staff use at 4:00pm

Place if good for one night
The rooms are big enough for one night stay, the check-in process was really easy, the cleaning lady was there when we arrived so she showed us how to use the washing and dryer machine, really fun and kind person. We were lucky there was not a lot of people staying on the first floor so we only had to share the kitchen with a small family and it was okay, but if the place is fully booked i think the kitchen is too small. The rooms were a little cold and we didn't know where the heater was, the bathroom door was too small so water was coming out of the shower and straight to the main door.

I thank you for your compliments to my staff - I have relayed the information. As for the kitchen. Yes it is a bit small downstairs, that is why we mention in our welcome letter that there is a bigger kitchen upstairs, which will easily accommodate several people. I am sorry that you found the room a bit cold. We try to keep them at a comfortable temperature. I am sorry you did not see the thermostat, which is right by the door as you enter - and which shows the temperature in the room. Thank you for pointing out that the water was running to the main door of the bathroom. This probably means that the drain is a bit clogged, and we will see to that. We booked this property last minute and it was the best decision!! We arrive early than expected to Iceland due to an upcoming hurricane in our country. We drove directly from the Keflavik airport and we enjoy every minute. For our surprise that first night we saw the beautiful northern lights and we still talk about that magical moment.

Just a one night stay while making the round trip of the island. Place was one that we remarked on remembering as the shared space layout with own bathrooms was comfortable and inviting. We prepared our own dinner and breakfast while there which saved money during our trip.

Small Town Stay
This hotel was nice and clean and located right by the water. The common area had a full kitchen and a washer dryer that is open to guests when not in use. The town has very little food options but luckily there was an ad for a pizza place in the common area that we were able to get dinner at.

Loved that the Guesthouse sat on a hill above the ocean. Easy to walk to the fishing harbor, the pool (didn't get there in time to use), and the fairly new Harbor Restaurant. Located in the small town of Skagastrond.

Beautiful room with views and door to the patio/front of the room. Everything still looks brand new. Private bathroom with great shower. Modern common kitchen area with everything you need to cook meals, and large fridge to store food. Very helpful guides in the rooms with history and culture of the area, as well as hiking routes and activities. Additional bonus: 1 min walk to the town's swimming pool.

Great service
We were greeted when we arrived by Klara, who showed our room and the kitchen area. Klara also gave us local hints and tips on where to go. The room itself was comfortable and the shared kitchen area had everything you could need for a short or long stay. We weren’t exactly sure what to expect but I can easily say we were pleased with our stay here. The biggest plus was the service provided by Klara, she took care of everything we needed, we would stay here just based on her service.

We did have a hard time looking for the place. But when we called the contact telephone number, the woman who answered was very helpful and friendly. We were greeted by Julian, the staff at the property. He was very polite and friendly. He showed us where the amenities are and offered tips where we can see the lighthouse. Place is clean and cozy. Ok, but don't expect luxuries...
Everything was ok, but note that this guesthouse is quite basic and unstaffed after hours. The immediate area is unattractive, though if you walk a bit uphill the view is pretty. Buy provisions to prepare your own breakfast, because there are no restaurants within 30 minutes drive.

This is just a lovely lovely place. We enjoyed it very much. Our host was wonderful and accommodating and we especially liked having the falls all to ourselves in the late evening and early morning!

This place was a bit of a mix between a hostel and a hotel. It's pretty self-oriented, though we were greeted by a staff member who happened to be cleaning another room when we arrived. The room was comfortable, but the water was very sulfuric-smelling here (the worst we had in Iceland), but that's probably not enough to keep anyone from staying. It was convenient having access to the kitchen to make tea and coffee and use the fridge and freezer, but we also felt awkward using it like we were in someone's home. There was a lot of stuff piled up at the end of the hallway as though someone lived there and used the hallway for storage. These reasons are why our rating of comfort and cleanliness are lower. The view from the window was of pure ocean which was amazing and we travelled nearby to Kalfshamarsviti which was a nice stop. Limited places to eat or get groceries in town and not enough parking on site.
