The rooms and hotel was lovely

Walked into the hotel and it was wonderful. A courtyard with a small fountain and pool surrounded by buildings on all sides - all 14th 15th century - it was beautiful. Was peaceful and tranquil. Got upgraded to the suite - amazing. The ceiling was beautiful - and original - wooden rafters covered in decoration. Phenomenal view from the roof terrace! Gorgeous apartment with everything we needed, and plenty of space to relax - very much appreciated after a day of sightseeing! Close to restaurants and easy walk to Mirador San Nicolas, Cathedral, and old town. Alhambra is walkable albeit further and hilly.

We loved the very central location and the staff recommendations on tapas places and Teterías were spot on. The coffee shop on the ground floor was excellent for having a traditional breakfast of tostados, coffee and juice, and served an excellent cheesecake for teatime.

Everything was top notch.

I had a fantastic stay at La Casa Juan Ranas. It was mid October so the weather was still warm and the local area was vibrant. The view from my suite’s terrace, was truly breathtaking - the best view of Alhambra! It was memorable having breakfast on my terrace and seeing the whole of Granada sprawling beneath the palace. The staff and hotel owner were great and made sure no request was too much - they were really friendly and helpful, arranging trips to the Alhambra. The food in the hotel...

The terrace overlooks the Alhambra Palace and it was beautiful sat out during the day in the sunshine. The arrangements were easy. Rooms were immaculate and good wifi access even on the terrace. It was peaceful although you are near to action in the old quarter if you want it. I will hopefully be staying here again

Breakfast was very good, didn't use the bar.

I love this hotel. Very beautiful inside and the room was stunning with views over the cobbled street, stream and Alhambra palace. I recommend room 101. This was the 2nd time I have stayed here and am never disappointed. The location is perfect in the old part of Granada. If you need patking talk to the hotel before hand as they have a deal with one of the underground carparks close by. This is the only hotel I stay in in Granada.
