What an incredible stay we recently had at the Mulberry Boutique Hotel. The staff (Marynoch, Thy, and Ya Ya to name just a few) were all amazing. We were met at the airport with fruit and refreshing towels, and then at the hotel with a glass of cool wine. Our room overlooked the pool (we recommend having a pool view both for the beauty of the garden and pool area, but also for a better soundscape) and was very comfortable. All the guests were treated like honored guests. We felt so well taken care of and every day when we came back from our Angkor Wat adventures, we were met with smiling faces, cool towels, and curiosity to know where we’d been and what we’d seen. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of some great restaurants most notably: Mamma Shop Italian food (located on the very cute street Hap Guan which is worth checking out), Embassy Khmer Gastronomy (make a reservation for their tasting menu and a plant-based tasting menu is also available) and Cuisine Wat Damnak. Two other places to check out: catch a tuk-tuk to the astonishing restaurant Lum Orng Farm to Table for lunch or dinner and also see the beautiful Theam’s Gallery both for the unique art and the building ambiance. Staying at the Mulberry is a great place from which to start and end your daily Siem Reap explorations. The pool is lovely, our family room was unbelievably spacious and comfortable, and the food at the restaurant was truly delicious. It really is a gorgeous little hotel. But where they really shine is in the service - everyone is so friendly and professional. They offered complementary airport pick up and drop off (with cold water, fruit and a cold towel when we arrived), complementary breakfast (including vegan options), complementary massages (which were incredibly good), they arranged our tour of Angkor Wat, and brought us lovely mocktails to cool us off when we returned. And they give you stainless water bottles that they will keep filling with water in an effort to keep plastic waste down - those nice water bottles are complementary as well. The staff was so sweet and attentive and the grounds and rooms were beautiful. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending The Mulberry to anyone staying in Siem Reap. Les chambres famille sont très grandes et décorées avec goût, de même que tous les espaces communs de l'hôtel. Le restaurant et le bar donnant sur le magnifique jardin et la piscine sont très agréables et reposants. La propreté des chambres, sanitaires et espaces communs est irréprochable. La piscine est très belle et très agréable. La nourriture est vraiment délicieuse, que ce soient les petits déjeuners ou les autres repas. Le personnel est très gentil, bienveillant, discret, et très efficace pour répondre à toutes nos demandes et organiser les visites. Le top !!! La démarche eco responsable de l'établissement est très appréciable: gourde et eau potable gratuite durant tout le séjour afin d'éviter l'achat de bouteilles plastiques, ceci dans un pays où les déchets posent un réel problème. This was my first trip on my own and I can't thank Karl and his team enough for making me so welcome and feeling at home. Nothing was too much trouble, whether it was breakfast (after it had finished) after a sunrise trip to Angkor or the fresh mango and passion fruit juice each time I returned. The hotel is so pretty, rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped and a total peaceful haven just a short walk from the busier parts. Although everyone was lovely, I have to say a huge thank you to Mr Sna, my tuk tuk driver - he was so friendly and went out of his way to show me more of Cambodia. A fantastic driver and tour guide and lovely guy!
