I choose it based on its good reviews and complimentary hotel pick up service. It was a nice hotel but it was very basic and traditional. It was clean and the staff were both friendly and helpful. The driver they sent to pick us up was amazing. I believe his name was Vinpol and he was the kindest man we met on our whole holiday. Not only did he pick us up when we arrived, he took us all around the temples and waited for us at each stop telling us a little bit about the sites. He also took us back to the airport when we left. He even got us water and a plaster when my mother fell over – he was such a kind man! I’m not sure if he’s employed by the hotel or is just hired as a taxi for them but he’s a treasure to them! The hotel also has a rooftop restaurant which is lovely to sit and watch the sunset. Whilst the breakfast was only average, we did enjoy a lovely evening meal there with reasonably priced drinks! My only real complaint about this hotel was the terrible wifi service which DID NOT work in the room at all; we could only use it in the lobby area which wasn’t very good. I paid $95.96 for 4 nights at this hotel via Hotels.com. You get what you pay for here.
