Amatao is in a completely rural setting, well away from the crowds of Siem Reap, but within easy striking distance of the Angkor complex and the airport. This is actually a tiny compound of a few guest cabins but with all modern conveniences, very well decorated and offering excellent food. The owner-manager, Naomi-san, is a charming Japanese lady who ensures that everything works well and also doubles as chef.
