"Hotel Kyoto Tokyu was really handy to the station, the hotel shuttle bus from there was easy to find. The staff on reception and in the restaurant were cheerful, helpful & made the place very welcoming. The food was great, not a huge menu perhaps but everything very tasty & well presented. The room was comfortable & well supplied with electric sockets, usb points etc. Would certinly recommend this hotel to others"

"Beautiful property. Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff was extremely gracious and helpful and most spoke okay English. Food was atrociously expensive (we ordered half a sandwich and fries (about 15), and a cup of coffee (no refills) and it came to about $40 USD. Breakfast buffet was 5,000 yen. A cup of coffee was 1,500 yen, or about 7 USD."

"Travelled with my wife for the first time to Japan; for the price, we were impressed. Room felt a little crammed at times but was manageable. Staff was extremely friendly and ensured we were comfortable. Room had air conditioning and the bed/pillows were more comfortable than my own. Close to Kyoto Station which saved us time and energy which you would need to travel any places you planned to visit/hike. Would stay here again."
