Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, travelling today comes with a few additional challenges. Keep in mind these worthwhile tips before jumping on your plane to Shepan Island:

• Find out what rules and restrictions apply to both your origin and destination. It may not be possible to travel depending on local circumstances, so be sure to check before you book your flight.
• When you go through airport screening, keep your face mask on. You will be asked to briefly lower it for ID purposes. Passengers who refuse to wear a mask may be fined and denied entry.
• You're no longer required to hand your boarding pass (electronic or paper) directly to a TSA officer. Rather, position the pass on the reader and then hold it up so the agent can inspect it.
• One liquid hand sanitizer container is now permitted in your carry-on baggage. It must be no larger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll have to take it out of your bag at the X-ray machine for scanning.
• Place any personal items (like your phone, wallet and keys) in your carry-on rather than a bin to minimize handling during screening.
• If you're bringing food on the plane, place it in a clear plastic bag and then into a screening bin. This lessens the likelihood that a TSA employee will need to handle your food container or carry-on bag for closer inspection.
