The spa was spotlessly clean and the facilities really good for a quick session in the evening - a nice extra treat to enjoy the stay. I do have quite a critical eye though, and there are things that could be a little better. The room was lovely but the paintwork was knocked in places and needed touching up, and marks on the wall where a previous guest must have spilled a drink needed cleaning. The shower leaked despite the glass door. There were some damp patches in the bathroom. There’s just a little feeling the hotel isn’t as loved/cared for as it could be, and a little TLC would elevate the experience. Not much effort would make it excellent, instead of good. All that said, for the price I paid it’s really worth it for a quiet getaway, and I will stay again!
