Book a holiday in El Arenal to discover one of the most lively neighbourhoods in the Andalusian capital.

El Arenal is a central district in the city of Seville that belongs to the Casco Antiguo district, the Old Quarter. Its streets are home to many of the main attractions of the Andalusian capital, making it an ideal area to spend a few days. Sounds good! Check out our cheap trips to El Arenal and enjoy a break from the daily routine!

You can start your tour in the market of El Arenal, which first opened in 1947. It’s one of the most lively spots in the whole neighbourhood, where you can buy typical quality produce and taste some delicious tapas and excellent wines. Cheers!

Then, head on over to the emblematic Torre del Oro, a tower on the banks of the River Guadalquivir. This defensive tower was built in 1220 and consists of three sections. Today, it is home to the Naval Museum of Seville. You should also know that it used to connect to the Torre de la Plata by the city wall.

Next to the Torre del Oro, you’ll find the imposing Teatro de la Maestranza theatre. Interestingly, there are more than 150 operas set in Seville, yet until 1991, when this space was inaugurated, there was no place to perform them. Complete your package deals to El Arenal and take in a show!

You also won’t want to miss the historic shipyards, where galleys were built that played decisive roles in such wars as the Hundred Years' war. They were in operation during the 13th and 15th centuries, and offer a Gothic style. At present, a total of seven naves have been preserved and have served as the setting for several film shootings.

Finally, you’ll want to make sure you don't leave without admiring a perfect example of the Sevillian Baroque style: the church and hospital of La Caridad, a 17th century building, which is sure to leave you breathless with its imposing façade and courtyards with biblical scenes depicted on the tiles.

To get to El Arenal, you’ll want to fly to Seville airport and take a bus to the city centre. Yes, it couldn't be easier to enjoy our offers of flights plus hotel to El Arenal!
