Staff in the hotel were all pleasant and helpful, and rooms were nice and comfortable. I opted not to eat in the restaurant as I thought I'd be pushed for time to have breakfast before some of the organised tours starting at 8am, and generally decided to eat elsewhere in Reykjavik for dinner. Location wise, it's a quiet road just at the eastern edge of downtown, so just a few minutes walk away from various shops and restaurants. The Lighthouse is excellent for a one-night stay-over before or after a Keflavik flight. It is about 14 minutes by car to the airport. It is in a very quiet area at the end of the Gardur peninsula. If the hotel restaurant is fully booked, as it was when we stayed, there is another within walking distance (wild and windy weather notwithstanding) - the Rostin. We had a great stay at this hotel. Very clean and comfortable room. The room did get very warm (even with the radiators offf in December) but the windows opened, so we could cool it easily. Staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast buffet was delicious, with a range of fresh and healthy food. We enjoyed cosy hour between 5 - 6pm, where the hotel provides a complimentary wine/beer/non alcoholic drink in the bar/lounge area. We would happily stay here again.

All the staff were Great answers all our questions.Our Hotel room was a nice size & clean.Breakfast was fine wished the Orange Juice would have been freshly squeezed rather than out of a machine. We went on a few Trips that were Fantastic like the Flyover theatre & The Perlan Museum that we both Enjoyed. Iceland is an expensive place to visit. Eating out was pricey The Taxis were very Expensive

A lovely hotel, centrally located on Laugevegur. Although we’d emailed ahead to pay for early check in, our room wasn’t ready when we arrived but we were able to leave our luggage in the luggage room and explore the city. Laugevegur is a pedestrian street in the part where the hotel is so it isn’t possible to be picked up or dropped off directly outside. The bus stop for Flybus (and tour pick ups) is number 14 at the bottom of a reasonably steep hill - getting the suitcases up was a challenge...

Very friendly welcome on arrival and this was consistent with all staff throughout our stay. The room was phenomenal and breakfast outstanding. The evening meal on the first night was so good we went back for the following evening. I would not hesitate to recommend; a fantastic hotel and wonderful staff. Thank you.

I have stayed here 4 times in the last 10 years and it is consistently great. The breakfast is superb, the location near the station is perfect. The staff are friendly and very helpful and the rooms are super comfortable.

Super friendly staff, beautiful quirky hotel with excellent interior design. I did struggle with my room being quite dark, but for the novelty of having a Louboutin themed room I just used my phone torch! Breakfast and evening meals were also great, would recommend staying here to anyone!

We have stayed at this charming family run hotel many times and will certainly come back. Location in the centre of the ancient village of Tällberg is beautiful and very convenient for exploring and enjoying lovely views and historical buildings by lake Siljan.

Super convenient good quality no frills hotel with nice bar, excellent breakfast and parking

Lovely hotel, clean and well maintained. Staff were superb! Although there is not a restaurant in the hotel (just an excellent breakfast) there are several restaurants within a hundred metres of the front door. Location is not central but taxis available within a couple of minutes to take you downtown. We chose it for both price and close proximity of the cruise terminal.
