1. Primo Hotel

Primo Hotel
Marciana Marina
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (11 reviews)
"This is a lovely small hotel with wonderful staff (particularly Josepe and Stefana). At the time we were there there was also a suited gentleman who was apparently a Director who hung around in reception looking very austere and unwelcoming. Unfortunately we were not able to use the pool, which was one of the reasons we chose the hotel, and there were no streaming channels available on the television, only Italian ones. We would return for the convenience, location and excellent staff."

"Non è la prima volta che veniamo in questo hotel e purtroppo ogni anno riducono sempre di più i servizi mentre il prezzo aumenta ... camere pulite e ben rifatte impeccabili .... la nota dolente viene dalla cucina , unico antipasto senza scelta , buffet di verdure che se finivano non venivano rimpiazzate il dessert a fine cena ormai è diventato un optional e "cameriere " che mentre serve mastica la gomma proprio non ci siamo ! Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Scaglieri?
The best area to stay in Scaglieri is the Historic Centre, which offers the most convenient and enjoyable experience for travellers.

This compact and pedestrian-friendly area is built around the main square, Piazza della Cisterna, and is characterised by its narrow, winding cobblestone streets and mediaeval architecture. You'll find a good selection of quality restaurants, artisan shops, and delightful gelato parlours tucked away in these ancient alleys. The main landmark, the Torre Grossa, dominates the skyline and is easily accessible from anywhere in the centre.

Couples often find the Historic Centre superb for a romantic getaway. The evenings are particularly pleasant, with the soft glow of streetlights illuminating the historic buildings and the gentle murmur of conversations from outdoor dining areas. It's ideal for leisurely strolls, discovering hidden courtyards, and enjoying intimate meals.

For families, staying within the Historic Centre offers practical advantages. Everything is within easy walking distance, meaning less hassle with transport and more time enjoying the sights. Children will enjoy exploring the mediaeval walls and the occasional street performer.
When is the best time to go to Scaglieri?
The best time to go to Scaglieri is during the shoulder seasons of May, early June, or September, when the weather is pleasant, and the crowds are smaller.

These months offer warm, sunny days superb for exploring the Tuscan countryside or relaxing by the coast, without the intense heat and larger visitor numbers of July and August. You'll find it easier to book quality accommodation and secure reservations at popular restaurants.

For couples looking for a romantic escape, late May or early June provides beautiful spring blooms and a more relaxed pace. You can enjoy strolls through the vineyards, al fresco dining, and exploring nearby hill towns without feeling rushed.

Families travelling with children might find September ideal. The sea is still warm enough for swimming, and the summer holidaymakers have largely departed, making beaches and attractions more manageable. It's also a great time for outdoor activities like cycling or gentle hikes.
Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?
You can cancel your hotel reservation on Expedia, though it depends on the cancellation policy of your booking. Most bookings are refundable if canceled within 24-48 hours of the scheduled arrival. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. If free cancellation is available, you can cancel directly through your Expedia account by logging in, going to "My Trips", and selecting your reservation. To find flexible deals, filter your search by "Fully refundable property" for hotels in Scaglieri.
How much is the nightly rate at a Scaglieri hotel?

All sorts of factors affect price, such as the time of year or the days of the week you choose for your stay.
