There is a back deck where you have a big, direct view of the river, however, the deck itself has very minimal furnishings and the plot of land between that view is a full on construction site (dumpsters, port-a-potties, the works). I had a hard time getting a straight answer from the rental company when I called to ask about it, so I thought I would leave more detail here for future guests. This year we stayed at the eastern wharf in a condominium. It was a good choice for us since we had our daughter and her two children with us this time. It accommodated our needs very well and were very nice accommodations. You will get your steps in if you plan to ride the ferry back-and-forth to the convention center as I did. Also, there are quite a few steps from the parking area out front to the top floor, where the master suite is. All in all though it worked out well for our group. The eastern wharf is a very nice area and continuing to develop into a very cool location. ##### John L.
