The host was AMAZING to deal with from the very beginning of our booking. He responded quickly to questions and was extremely accommodating. He even had his assistant meet us at 5am to help us with our check in! Just mind-blowing. He was on top of every little detail of our trip, he texted before we departed for our trip and texted when landed in Santo Domingo using the flight tracker. He e-mailed VERY detailed instructions when the booking was finalized. The Space: Because the building is older you get A LOT of space. We were a group of 10 and were beyond comfortable in the apartment (penthouse). Our stay was short, so we didn't get to fully use the kitchen, besides using a microwave, but it was equipped with everything you'll need to prep and make meals. The bathrooms were clean and toiletries were provided. Two of the bedrooms had multiple beds, so it's a great set up for kids or friends, maybe not ideal for couples, but it worked for our group. We had the best late night snacks waiting for us after a late night out :) Provided by the host. The building is VERY quiet and conveniently located to great restaurants and shopping. There's quick elevator access to every floor and two parking spots were provided with the booking. Oh speaking of that, when I told the host we had rented a van he was worried about it fitting comfortably as the lot is narrow and had his assistant measure the space to make sure the van would fit! How sweet is that?! In regards to the construction noise. It's pretty much throughout the Capital as the City is seeing a growth spur which is a sign of progress. It was here and there, but we were in beautiful Santo Domingo and were not bothered by it. Location: The area we thought was very safe, mostly residential apartment buildings. There were people jogging at 5am, 6am. There was a guard on duty and the parking lot had an automatic gate. There is a nearby Bodega for drinks, snacks , etc. They also have the best ham and cheese sandwiches and Dominican coffee. Overall: I felt like this was my home. The host did a great job at communicating and accommodating us. A very pleasant experience. Highly recommend it! ##### Walkiria M.
