Cheap and clean at a great location, the value makes up for the lower quality bedding. It was the least expensive hotel I’ve stayed at in Santa Cruz but will likely become my regular spot. Nearby hotels have cafes for morning coffee.

Front desk was great. Cleaning lady was very helpful. 3 blocks from the boardwalk. No parking fees.
Despite claims of a recent remodel, the bed was tough and felt like an outdated box-spring. We were stuck next to a loud ice machine that cycled on and off all night; the hotel was full so they couldn’t move us.
Walls had unexplained stains running down them, and the bathroom had about five flies we had to swat.
There was a mini fridge and microwave; however, there was a coffee maker— no cups, coffee, or tea. No ice bucket or bags either, and the lobby didn’t even have a fork. This was a real letdown.
$180 for one night and this is what we got—definitely not worth it.
Me my family and friends have made this hotel our 1st choice when traveling to Santa Cruz, you can’t beat the price and conveniently close to board walk. And the staff is great.
