It is conveniently situated within a reasonable distance of most major attractions, and there are plenty of restaurants, cafés, and other conveniences nearby. Overall, the location made getting around Seattle very easy. However, the housekeeping service was quite disappointing. We selected every-other-day room cleaning, but on several occasions, the housekeeping staff only replaced the towels and emptied the trash. Other basic cleaning services did not appear to be done. The room was not properly tidied, our amenities and supplies were not replenished, and the bed was not made. On one occasion, our pajamas were simply taken off the bed and left on the table. I understand that housekeeping practices may vary from hotel to hotel, but I have honestly never experienced room cleaning like this before. If a guest chooses scheduled room cleaning, I would expect it to include basic tidying, making the bed, replenishing necessary supplies, and general room upkeep—not just changing towels and emptying the trash. The location and convenience of the hotel were excellent, but the housekeeping service definitely fell below expectations and was the most disappointing part of our stay."

"If heading to a sporting event in Seattle or wanting to enjoy the really cool area, the Populus hotel is the place to stay! It has a great ambience and and hip vibe. The staff is super friendly and the common area of the hotel chic. The rooms have the most awesome bathroom and are super comfortable Wish our stay wasn’t so quick."

"Staff was incredible. To the gentleman at the front desk who helped us check in and accommodated us early, to the bartender. The food at the bar was delicious and came out quick. Pretty good selection for drinks and the breakfast was quite good. Great views of the puget sound ferry and incoming cruise ships. Rooms are cozy but perfect for a quick stay before heading out on a cruise ship."

"Loved this property because of the rooms the cleanliness and proximity to the trains station right around the corner along with the monorail. Half of our stay was at a different location and boy was the stay different. This location made everything so much easier and the hotel was really nice. Our next trip to Seattle will be at the Mayflower if I can afford it again"

"I was in Seattle for 8 days for my birthday and wanted to find something affordable. I was initially scared since it was so affordable but oh my gosh I was so dang impressed. I can’t wait to come back and visit again!!! I felt safe, it was in the perfect location, walking distance from everything, and always someone able to help me if I needed it. You can store groceries, they have a whole kitchen, a nice outdoor patio, a pool table and a small bar."
