Sandhill Gravel Pit

Perfect location for an overnight if you’re going to enjoy the far coast. However, after ‘location’, nothing else is very positive. The store clerk was confused with our checkin and was quite slow, while customers waited behind me to purchase items. The store doesn’t open until 9:00 AM, which is late for travelers wanting to grab a coffee and supplies before getting on the road. The restaurant didn’t open until 11:00 AM, so breakfast wasn’t an option. The campground was nice, but we stayed in a cabin. It NEEDS to be renovated and updated! The layout is fine, but everything was old, grimy, and has stayed the same for way too long. The couch was so old and bad that you couldn’t even sit on it without falling through to the floor. We left our socks on because the floors looked unsanitary and not clean. If the property would update and deep clean, it would be so much better. We won’t stay there again.

Towels were stained, no WiFi in rooms. Otherwise nice property
