Stop over on our way home to San Diego

Nice large Spa with a waterfall. Beautiful gardens and pool. Beds are uncomfortable. The staff was nice. There are no elevators, we had to bring everything up 2 flights of stairs. Bathrooms were small, faucets need updated. Faucets on backwards. Overpriced. Refrigerator, Microwave, Flat screen TV was nice!\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\|\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\||\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\||\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\|\\\\\\\|\\\|||||||||||\\\\\|||||||||\\\\\\\\\\|\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\|\\\\\\\\////////////////////:://///://////////://///////////////////////////////////:/://///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////://////////////////////////////////////////////////

Reasonably priced for the area

Pros: Pros: - Great Staff - Nice Pool/Spa - Clean grounds/landscaping - Clean rooms
Cons: Cons: - Extremely old/outdated - Rust in bathroom - Leak/water stains on ceiling - Cracked tiles
The hotel is in a convenient location just off the 101 freeway, the staff was friendly, and the exterior, although dated, was nice. We stayed two nights and overall, it was not a bad hotel, but not great either.

Good for the price but...

Posted 08-Aug-2015
Pros: Cost, microwave, cable, free wi fi and ease of access of wi fi.
Cons: Update the bathroom, add a continental breakfast (and you can raise your rates a little because of that!)
Location: OK location and about 9 minute drive from downtown.
It's like an indoor motor inn. Bathrooms need to be updated and an elevator added. It's good for folks on a budget who don't want to pay much for a place in SLO, though. But bare minimum on amenities. But it does have a microwave!

Pros: Pool and jacuzzi
Cons: Interior needs full refurbishment. I have a hard time believing any upgrades were made in 2013. Even new beds and linens would make a big difference.
Location: Location is very good and very near to shops and restaurants.
Ok for no more than a 2 night stay. Decor is very outdated and smells old. Can hear every movement from room above. Pool and jacuzzi is very nice and relaxing.

way over priced

Pros: The pool and spa were very nice
Cons: Better beds, better pillows, clean and light the halls, provide breakfast
Location: Kind of a long ways from downtown
Rose Garden Inn was listed as 3 star. The pool is very nice. The rest is no better than Motel 6. The room was small, the beds were fair, the bathroom was very small. The halls were dingy and dirty. There was no breakfast. Very disappointing for the price. For what I got, I should have stayed at Motel 6 and save a lot of money.

I was impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel

Posted 01-Aug-2015
Pros: cleanliness
Cons: Sliding door locks need to be checked and a fly screen would be fantastic to get some fresh air in. The vending machines need to be checked.
Location: Didn't stay long enough to know but the Margie's Diner next to the hotel had breakfast, but extremely expensive.
I was impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel. Nice smell all through the hallways. Friendly staff. Clean like a 5 star hotel. The towels are nicely folded like fans. Staff are friendly and helpful. I stayed in the room # 214, the sliding door locks did not work also wanted to get a drink from the vending machines downstairs, it did not work, so went to the second floor, the vending machine was ok, but only had pepsi. The hotel has a nice pool, jaccuzi and beautiful waterfalls. The roses and greenery are nice too.

Good location for a decent price

Posted 01-Aug-2015
Pros: The location and jacuzzi
Cons: Better beds and pillows
Location: Close to hiking, beaches and downtown shopping.
You can tell the folks working here want to please their guests. Always polite and helpful. Easy to get to the places we wanted to visit. Enjoyed the jacuzzi and it's pretty waterfall. The bed wasn't the most comfortable and the pillows were lumpy.

Pros: The hotel staff. The roses.
Cons: I think the hotel needs the bathrooms redone.
Location: Can't really talk about this. I did not go to any place near by.
A nice, clean, and convenient place to stay. The hotel staff are excellent. The manager, Mary, at the front desk was so helpful to me and made every effort to make me happy. There are a lot of roses on the property! Nice touch.
