Go for the hot tub

Posted 28-Sep-2016
Hot tub is the highlight. Very big and a very private setting. Lots of fun.

Not up to my standard

Posted 21-Sep-2016
Pros: the t.v.
Cons: update everything
Location: great location, near restaurants and shopping
The woman at reception was very nice! We like to stay at higher rated hotels, and not usually motels, but San Luis Obispo was sold out so we settled for this motel. We had everything we needed but it just wasn't what we are used to. It seemed older, and the bathtub was scraped and kind of ugly. The beds seemed older. It was a nice tv and the room was not too loud, but could hear the freeway slightly which is right next to it. Also, they jacked up the prices because of Cal Poly move in weekend, so we paid over $275 and breakfast wasn't even included!

Not clean or up to date at all

Posted 20-Sep-2016
There were stains on our bedsheets when we got there. There were water stains on the ceilings too. The shower head was pretty much a joke since it felt like you were being misted instead of actually washed. Didn't provide any conditoner or shower cap even though lotion and shampoo were provided. The bed was ok but the pillows were flat and unsupportive. The sliding glass door ok out room didn't lock either, and we were on the first floor right in front of the parking lot. Wouldn't recommend staying there unless it's the only hotel left in town... Which it was when we booked.

Hotel ok, door key & tv issues, friendly staff

Posted 20-Sep-2016
Pros: Beautiful roses, friendly staff
Cons: Better key/door system. Fix TV/cable issues.
Location: Unsure. Stayed 1 night
Beautiful roses surrounding hotel, friendly staff, room comfortable. Problem opening door with key card and TV cable issues.

Cheap. Dirty. Noisy.

Posted 19-Sep-2016
Pros: The staff was nice and very pleasant.
Cons: The bathrooms need a total re-do. The tub faucet has dripped for years...the enamel on the tub wore away, creating a huge rust spot. Cleanliness.
Location: Very close to freeway...can hear it from your room.
Noisy room on the ground floor. Can hear every person walking down the hall. If someone upstairs/above walks across the floor, the floor pounds and creaks so much that it wakes you up.

Relaxing

Posted 11-Sep-2016
Pros: Easy access to/from freeway. Centrally located to head to Morrow Bay or Pismo Beach. Very close to Apple Farm and Madonna Inn restaurants too.
Cons: Pool towels in rooms.
Location: SLO farmers market on Thursday nights. A double feature drive in just down the road. Close to beaches. Various shopping areas too.
The pool/ hot tub area with waterfall was beautiful and relaxing. Very clean too. Only wished pool towels were available. We had used our shower towels which were still damp that evening.

Inadequate wi-fi

Posted 06-Sep-2016
Pros: The pool area was awesome and the spa was fantastic!
Location: Quiet, secluded location. Very close to a freeway exit.
Although it promises free wi-fi, we could rarely get a strong enough signal to log on to anything. It was very frustrating not to be able to access internet tin order to check out local attractions, deals, or navigation help.

Clean and quiet

Posted 05-Sep-2016
The room was clean, the staff was polite and helpful. We were looking forward to enjoying the outdoor hot tub and the waterfall early in the evening. It was in an easy-access fenced-in area which gave a nice feeling of privacy. The hot tub was very nice but we were disappointed that the waterfall feature had been turned off. All-in-all, our stay was enjoyable.

Clean, Affordable, Recommended

Posted 01-Sep-2016
Pros: Staff, Comfort, Cleanliness
Cons: Updated safety bar in the sliding glass door (Felt flims).
Location: Nothing to report I was in town for very short stay, no time to explore.
Room was clean, Staff was extremely nice at check in (Tuesday evening 9pm check in). Room smelled nice (fake rose smell) could possibly bother someone with sensitivity to fake odors however I found it pleasant. I had a ground floor. Comfortable bed, very clean bathroom. I recommend with 4.5 out of 5 stars based on comfort, staff, and cleanliness.
