Pool not heated, jacuzzi is nice.

Posted 25-Jul-2016
Wifi did not work in rooms, only in the lobby. Staff was friendly. Bed was comfortable. I love to swim but the water was too cold even on a hot day, so had to just sit in the jacuzzi for awhile. Good coffee in the lobby. Except for the wifi not working in my room and the pool being cold, it was a pleasant stay.

Urinated comforter

Posted 20-Jul-2016
Check in was slow. We arrived at midnight and were waiting outside the window atleast 10 minutes in the midst of freezing ocean breeze. Going into room everything seemed fine until we got into bed and realized the comforter had been urinated on by a previous guest, which means the room wasnt cleaned prior to our stay. The patio door didnt open either so it was a little frustrating having to go all the way out the main door when our car was right in front of our room so we didnt have it easy unloading.. All of this for $100? No,thank you.

Great customer service when we arrived. I needed extra towels after visiting the hot tub, but I guess I called after 10 so I didn't get any help when I called the front desk. The hot tub is large to fit many people. Overall was a good experience!

Comfortable place to live

Posted 01-Jul-2016
Nice place to stay over a long drive. The surroundings are awesome the rooms were large and the staff was very helpful. One could surely consider it to be a place to consider when you are driving through CA1. You really get a sense of belonging and get time to enjoy the serene surrounding. Although if breakfast was a part of the deal, could be even better. But yet a place worth staying. To each one who is planning to do this run, please go ahead and book.

Pool and hot tub is only thing going for this hote

Posted 30-Jun-2016
Pros: Pools and spa
Cons: Remodel the hotel
Old, small bathroom, we had reserved the room for 4 and only 3 towels were provided . Inn is old and has musty smell. Will not stay there again. Water pressure non existent , very hard to use faucet, it will not turn and water barely comes out in the sink.

Decent room for the price

Easy check-in. Room was clean. Only complaint is that the walls are very thin so you can hear t.v and conversation from the next room.

Paper thin walls and old bathroom fixtures :(

Posted 22-Jun-2016
Pros: The hot tub looked nice.
Cons: The bathroom could use a lot of work, seal the doors better, better sound proofing, verify that each room has an iron and ironing board.
Location: Cal Poly, great downtown area, near beaches, Hearst Castle, elephant seals
The gentleman at the reception desk was very pleasant and we had good hopes about the rest of the hotel. Unfortunately, as we made our way up the stairs, we ran into a very drunk guest. We didn't think it would be a big deal until we got to our room and realized that the sliding door on the balcony didn't fully seal and we could clearly hear him and his friends in the spa. Knowing that the spa would close in another hour, we tolerated it. Little did we know that once the spa closed, one of those guests would be located next door. The walls were so thin that we could hear him talking and watching t.v. until close to midnight. When I read that the rooms had been remodeled, I guess I expected that the bathrooms would be included in that. The fixtures were really old, the tile was cracking, and the bathroom fan either didn't exist or didn't work. Additionally, there was no iron or ironing board located in the room. This was a disappointing experience and will definitely pay more to stay at a better location!
