Very convenient to the south entrance at Mariposa Grove. Our room was lovely with cathedral ceiling and an attached private deck. On site shopping for conveniences. Restaurant had a limited menu but adequate. Beautiful old, carved wood, stone fireplaces gave a very cozy vibe. Grounds included an authentic older firetruck you could explore and learn more about. Simple room but very comfortable, we rode the sugar pine railroad while we were there, a must do! Short drive to Yosemite and much more reasonable than staying in the park. One stop place for relaxation! The bed is so comfortable and the surroundings are beautiful. There’s a train ride just steps away that’s been on property for years! We didn't have any hot water in the shower or bathroom sink each night. There were dirty handprints on the bathroom door. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view that made mornings especially enjoyable. Parking was super easy, and the location is hard to beat — just about 2 miles from the south entrance of Yosemite, which made accessing the park incredibly convenient. One of the highlights is the nearby train depot and scenic ride, which adds a unique charm to the area. The on-site restaurant has a wonderful historic atmosphere and looks fantastic, though the food itself was just okay.
