My first stay in SLO and Apple Farm was a cutest place I found. I was immediately drawn to the decor and quaintest of the place. Parking was easy. The lobby was comfortable. They had coffee, tea, and hot apple cider available. They offered cookies and chardonnay at check in. I checked in a little early at just 3:10pm. The lady told me the room was almost ready and it would be about 15 mins so I said I'd wait. Got coffee and sat down right across from the counter. She didn't give any other info so I assumed that as soon as the room was ready, she'd call me. Numerous other patrons came and went. An hour later, I'm still sitting there and had to go back to ring the bell. A gentleman comes, and I ask him and he's confused as to why I'm waiting. As soon as he got my name, he picked up the keys that were sitting right there on the counter. Needless to say, that was very disappointing. But the rest of the stay was lovely. We had a nice big quiet room looking out the back where there was a little creek. Fireplace worked. Restaurant had great breakfast. The second day, there was some sort of a greasy spill in the hallway that made the hardwood floors very slippery. It was like that all day. We even told the front desk about it because I was concerned someone might fall and break a hip. But it was still like that the morning we checked out. Hmm... All that being said, I would still stay here again.
