nice hotel in the center of Santa Clara

Hotel is a bit noisy, both in the lobby and in the rooms as the doors between rooms are not well insulated. The hotel staff claimed they did not have a piano, and that they just donated theirs, only to come to find out that a full-blown grand piano was around the corner....

Pros: Quiet room
Cons: Housekeeping would knock as they walked into the room (twice), rather than knock first and see if it is OK to enter.
Girlfriend and I checked to get a nice quite place to relax and catch-up on some sleep. The bed was great and the curtains kept the light out which allowed us to sleep in, something we hadn't done in a while.

It was lovely and nice and clean and close to the airport of San Jose. Nice staff, if you ship boxes they charge $20 per box for delivery.

Bad timing?

The "year round" heated pool and spa were closed. The fire alarm went off at 6am and we were told to vacate the building. There was no apparent fire and no explanation, but it was over an hour before we allowed back in our room.

Good hotel

Pretty good hotel. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant/bar service is pretty slow. Maybe on busy weekends a little more staff would be helpful!
