Precise Hotel and location
Rincon del Valle was precise to our needs. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is in a quiet neighborhood with a convenient bus stop 1 block away and walkable to restaurants and convenience stores. The breakfast was made fresh and a great start to the day. The staff was very friendly, polite and helpful.

The hotel just need a little updates. All the personnel was wonderful, Help you all the time, after few day you think you are at home. Just a new towels will make the difference. Don Carlos at the restaurant made our trip fabulous

the staff led by Eric was very professional in manner and I felt based on my observance and personal interaction that all customers must be made to feel welcome and at home. I recently stayed at a Sheraton in Virginia. I can honestly say that Eric and his staff could match their skills against the big boys.

The only complaint I have about this place is that the hot tub does not actually get hot. Otherwise it was ideal. Breakfast was great the bed was comfortable the location was good.

I’ve stayed at this hotel before and it’s always been clean and a good value compared to some others in San Jose. But this time, after riding a motorcycle from Parrita through the mountains to Puriscal and finally to San Jose, I was hot, dusty and dirty. When I asked the lady at reception for the remote control for the A/C, I was told “sorry, you booked through Expedia and that rate does not include A/C for that room.” I went back and reviewed my Expedia reservation and it does not say the room has no A/C. So for this poor review, I blame Expedia’s lack of transparency more than the hotel.

Dear BenjaminWe are very sorry about the misunderstanding in your last visit to our hotel, that you have always enjoy as clean and a great value. Unfortunately you reserve the only standard king room with no A.C. we offer, and that is clearly specified in Expedia description, the price is also less than what you paid before and very different from the other rooms. It has windows to open air and is very fresh, but we specified and its rate shows because is the different one from all the rest that is the only one, with no A.C. Sometimes we don’t see or notice these details and I can image you were maybe too tired to communicate with the management or the Front desk to switch to another room with A.C. as it was important for you. We really hope that you stay with us again, next time you visit San Jose, there is letter with our personal phone numbers and we are available 24/7 for our guest in these cases to make sure you have the best experience we can deliver, ringing us from the comfort of you room. You will be receiving in your mail a voucher for a stay with us in any of the other A.C: rooms and we offer a sincere apology that these situation wasn’t solve in a simple way while you were at the hotel.Regards,

Park is close by. Downtown one can walk to in about 30 minutes. Staff is eager to help. Breakfast on Sunday morning was eggs and rice and beans made to order.

This is an okay place for short term stay is close to a really busy street, it is very noisy but people were friendly, comfortable bed and clean, nothing fancy but def ok for a night or two.

Loved the place, only noticed two problems: - there's no parking, I had to leave the car in front of the hotel (they assured me that it was safe, and nothing happened, but there's no private secure parking. - the room had no cofee machine, I drink a lot of cofee during the day and other hotels have the machine and I always ask for extra cofee packs, not here sadly.

Great price, modern and clean. Tasty breakfast. The only downside was the parking. They only have 3 or 4 spaces for parking on the sidewalk, they do have security cameras, but you never know…
