Parking by Valet only. Otherwise a nearby parking garage had to be utilized. Lots of renovations going on, and had to change room due to non-functional A/C. Otherwise nice place right near downtown eateries, clubs, etc. Would go there again.

Temperature inside the room was 99degrees and the air conditioning was broken. The staff was no help at all offering fixes for the issue. We requested a fan to help but there was no circulation in the room whatsoever. We asked for another room and they had the same issue with multiple rooms. Many people checked out and left including half of my party because of the unbearable heat. This was unacceptable

I would not risk staying at Hotel De Anza during the Summer unless you can be certain your room has working AC. We checked into Room 316 before 5 p.m. The lobby and hallways were comfortably air-conditioned, but our room was extremely hot. Maintenance was unable to fix the AC and told us that, because of the outside heat, it would not be working. His solution was to remove screws so we could open the windows and provide us with a fan. The front desk staff was friendly and tried to help, but there were no other rooms available. We were also repeatedly told that a manager would contact us regarding compensation. We received no call that evening, after returning from our event, at checkout the next morning, or afterward. I contacted Expedia and they said they would try to contact the hotel. When I later messaged the hotel through Expedia, they directed compensation back to Expedia and also claimed I had declined an opportunity to join IHG Rewards during my stay, which is not how I remember that conversation. They wrote, "As you declined to enroll during your stay, we are unfortunately unable to retroactively apply the membership-related credit by enrolling after the stay has been completed." Would have been nice if a manger had told us that when we were there. The historic hotel has charm and a convenient downtown location, but working AC in San Jose summer heat should be an expectation, not a luxury. With other hotels nearby, I would not take this chance again.

The AC didn't work at all in the room. I asked to be moved to another room and they said they were booked up and the tech was not going to be able to fix the issue until the next day.. The room was around 90 degrees all night. It was truely miserable. Don't recommend this hotel at all.

Staff were courteous and helpful. Valets were excellent. Room was 95% clean. The exception was mold staining and leftover hair from previous occupant in the bathroom and stained carpet in the main bedroom area. Otherwise the room was great. Hotel is within walking distance to SAP center and is conveniently located near several dining options.

The staff was exceptional from parking to the front desk. Helpful and friendly. The amenities not so much. We stayed in a suite with a kitchenette and a rollaway for 3 of us. Fortunately I threw in some paper plates and plastic glasses before I left home. We were celebrating a special occasion for my niece. We brought treats and wine. It was surprising to see a kitchenette with no microwave, glasses or dishes. And the couch and rollaway had springs that could be felt all night. But we had a fabulous time. Just need to know what you are gettting. Location to go to SAP cannot be beat. Fantastic.

The property is old and it's obvious. That said, it well located and comfortable/clean. The best part about De Anza is 100% the staff. The front desk folks were more than helpful and accommodating - even upgrading us at no charge because we added a person to our reservation and there was only one option with two beds left (the suite). Kudos to the staff -- they were amazing!

The fire alarm went off at 5:30am no one came to check due to the maintenance was not there until 8 We had to leave the hotel early even though we check in at midnight. I’ve requested hotel refund but no one has call me back waiting now
