Great experience, good proximity to airport. Great restaurants within walking distance. Nice outdoor patio area. Helpful friendly staff. Harry helped us get checked out quickly so we could get to the airport. All staff were great.
The Catrina is a great deal for the price. The rooms are clean and relatively well maintained. A fridge a microwave in every room certainly helps keep the price of travel down. Its a short walk to the train station and there are a bunch of interesting places to eat within another short walk.
Great stay for a solo traveler taking a test at the Pearson view testing center which was located less than 4 min away! I was virtually checked in and it was fast and easy! Would definitely stay here again
Clean room easy to park staff was helpful overall it was good

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Staff & service
This hotel is lovely and a high-tech oasis of comfort in a sea of dryness.
BUT, I would suggest adding at least a hot tub, a modest but good gym, and more office staff for assistance.
I would say that overall I had a mainly positive experience at the Catrina.
Thank you.
Great hotel near the airport and lots to do . Super clean and the bed was HUGE and comfy . Would sty again . Virtual reception was awesome . Very modern and had everything we needed
Love this hotel! Totally refurbished. All the amenities you need and close to SFO. East check in and out. Comfortable beds. Nice shower. Great TV. Complimentary bottled water and snacks seems like a small detail but meant so much to us! Will stay here again!
Room was small, floors and counter tops and tables were dirty. Only good thing is the location. People upstairs being loud in the morning and slamming doors. 5/10
The room was spacious and clean. The front desk/lobby area is perfumed with one of those sticks in oil aromatherapy things. This is nice for some people, but very yucky for people with allergies to fragrances. On Sunday at 8:30 AM there was no live staff, only a screen to video chat with somebody far away. The posted hours said 8 AM to 8 PM. There was a phone number posted on the sign and the same phone number listed on the Internet. When you call it, you get a recording that says “this line does not accept any phone calls.”

Everything was clean except there were several long dark hairs on the floor. It was convenient to the SF airport. My only complaint is that I tried to call several times in the few days prior to my arrival to confirm and all I got was a recording saying that the phone number didn’t accept incoming calls and this was from the link on their website so I was getting a little nervous. I ended up having to call their parent Company to confirm my reservation. I mentioned this at check-in, and apparently they have a bot that answers most of their calls, but only during certain hours. I did not find that a satisfactory explanation. Although than that, it was a great place for a quick overnight before flying out of San Francisco. We had dinner at Jack’s down the street and it was delicious with a great menu.
Check-in was different but efficient. We booked through Expedia and chose the “reserve now, pay later” option and opted to pay at check-in. They tried to charge our card the night before which was annoying.
The room was nice. Mostly clean but there were some questionable messes on the shower curtain and bathroom door that got over looked.
The windows had shutters instead of curtains and some of them were broken. There was also a lot of noise with people coming in late and just noise from street.
Location and price were good.
The property had ample parking and the check in and check out process was super smooth. The staff was super friendly and helpful as well. My only issue was that the floor was a little dusty but the property had soft water which made up for that previous issue.
