The house is great with plenty of space and comfortable beds. The kitchen is amazing with the quartz countertops and the large stove great for cooking up a feast. There are plenty of spaces to sit and relax inside and outside. Neighborhood is full of friendly people and it's easy to walk around. I would stay again!
Overall the location has a lot to offer close by food and entertainment and the home has a cozy vibe very nice neighborhood. I would say read the instructions left on the table by the host instead of the instructions on verbo for the wifi .
A group of 5 adults stayed for an entire week. We found the house spacious, well kept, clean and comfortable. Location made it super easy to get to all our planned activities. Check in was a breeze, communication with the host was excellent and NO crazy list of expectations from the host. Except for sharp knives (which I've never found in a VRBO) the kitchen was better equipped than I've seen in years of vacationing & corporate housing. I'm docking one star for window coverings that we found insufficient in bedrooms & bath, otherwise I do recommend the property.
Stayed here with my children and grandchildren who range in age from 23-3. Our hosts were absolutely AMAZING. I requested to come in a day earlier than I originally booked and they went above and beyond to have things ready for us on a day’s notice. They were very attentive and did their very best to predict our needs. The location is great. 10-minutes from mission beach and Petco stadium. The neighborhood is charming and people were very friendly. Grocery store and small markets all within walking distance which was great because the house had everything else we needed to prepare meals. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Extra linens were a plus. The backyard was spacious and again had everything we needed to comfortably enjoy the beautiful weather. This will be our go-to spot for future trips. ❤️
Where do I start? Our flight was delayed almost 5 hours so we didn’t check into the house until the evening. Super tired driving from LAX. Zero issues. The house itself was much bigger than we expected based on the photos alone. The extra room and backyard was an added bonus which our family of 5 really liked. The bedrooms had plenty of space to unpack and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything and was fully stocked. The location was a nice base camp for our daily excursions to San Diego. The Sunday farmers market was a pleasant surprise. Driveway parking was yet another bonus. Large enough to fit our rental van. We miss the house already since it’s one of the better Vrbos and ABs we’ve stayed at. Totally recommended!
A quiet neighborhood, but still very easy to get to the zoo, downtown, or anywhere else we wanted to go. We appreciated the quick and clear communication from the hosts and their hospitality in putting up a Christmas tree for us. We would definitely stay here again.
This place was comfortable. The location was great, very close to many great restaurants and activities. The host made sure we were comfortable and communicated with us when needed.
The house was cute and very centrally located. We were less than 15 minutes away from everything we wanted to see and do. The freeway onramp was close but I never heard traffic noise and the house is tucked into a quiet neighborhood.
We needed a place to go after a bad leak at our house meant we had to spend 3 weeks in a rental. They were so communicative, flexible and friendly! Such a cute part of University Heights-very walkable and quiet at night. The house has plenty of space and charm!
Alex was very responsive and helpful. The house itself was well renovated and stocked. The beds and pillows were super comfy and clean. We were very happy with our stay in this lovely house.
Tip for Alex: please lubricate the doors. and also add a guestbook with basic info (wifi pass, house rules, etc).

Nice, but could be better
I posted a longer review on the 3/21-22 stay; we stayed 3/17-21 then extended by 1 night. Good stay overall, but could have been better (no wifi, kitchen lacks some essentials, etc.).
Really cute house, felt cozy but spacious. Neighborhood is fantastic, nice walk to the Hillcrest farmers’ market on Sunday. Huge back yard; my only criticism is that the yard was described as fully fenced—it was mostly fenced except for a ~3ft wide section that had only a short/low portable gate that was not in place on arrival, and still jumpable by the family dog when in place. This is a minor thing, and we were grateful the house even allowed dogs!
This property has it! It is close to everything you'll do in San Diego, and a quick hop to the freeway system. It is a lovely and unique property with a full kitchen and comfortable beds, comfortable bedding, and a fantastic assortment of pillows. The owner seems to have every streaming service subscribed, too. There is a yard for pets, the neighborhood is safe and reasonably quiet, parking and check-in were very easy, and it has a washer/dryer combo for longer stays! The owner was very communicative and responsive as well. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone heading to San Diego for fun. We were there for comic-con this time. 5 men and one woman ages 23-53 stayed here with no issues with the hot water in the shower or maintaining individual privacy. We had a wonderful time!

Nice, but could be better
The home was very clean. It was generally comfortable; the front room bed was too firm. Back yard has a great view, overlooking a little gulch with great bird life (I really enjoyed the birds!). The kitchen needs to be better supplied, with butter knives, small sharp knives (only a few very large ones were present), serving spoons, normal size pots/pans. The wifi did not work. When I asked about wifi, I was told to try the north side of the home. The home is not huge, and there was no access to wifi anywhere in the home. Also, the checking in process was a bit rough. I asked for check-in info a few days ahead, and was told I would be given the details later. I then received no communication. The day of checking in, I tried to reach the owner, and ended up just going to the home, where fortunately I found the keys and was able to get in. The owner lives next-door, and introduced herself during our stay, and was friendly. She was responsive to questions during our stay, although some problems were not resolved adequately (like the wifi). Also, I was told I would not be double-charged for cleaning (I stayed 3/17-21, then extended by one day), but thus far I have not gotten my money back on the extra $75 cleaning fee. The light switches in the home are "modern" switches that are challenging to figure out; perhaps some instructions along with the remote control switches would be helpful for those used to the old fashioned switches that actually turn the lights on or off when switched (it took pressing buttons several times to get these lights to work). The neighborhood/location were fine, and all in all we had a great time in San Diego.
