"We had a wonderful stay at The Hotel Contessa. The staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to make sure all of our needs were met. We were in town for the NBA Finals. The free shuttle provided by the hotel to and from the game made for a smooth experience and our driver went above and beyond and was so friendly and helpful."

Crockett Hotel

"Valet left our car's lights on. Battery died and he had to jump it. New battery is now basically useless. Night staff member said we could have a late checkout, then the morning one didn't. Food under the beds on we got there. Not a great experience. Find somewhere else."

"To start off when we arrived there was no one at the front, several guest were waiting to be checked in and when she finally showed up, she had a bad attitude, so we were greeted very rudely from the moment we walked in. The room could've been cleaner. It had a weird smell, and there were hairs in the shower. To top it off, the AC in our room was not working properly. The room was at 80 degrees from the moment we arrived and for the entire duration of our stay. The staff offered some loud, old fans to accommodate us because apparently all rooms were sold out but, I guess you get what you pay for."

"This place is perfect for families looking to relax and unwind. They have activities throughout the day for kids and adults. The villas were clean and well furnished. The concierge was very helpful and accommodating. The location is also amazing, 5 minutes from Seaworld and about 20 minutes outside downtown San Antonio. The area is quiet and has enough restaurants and stores around to get anything you may need. The only issue my family had is that the water in the room never really got hot. Also the pool does not have lifeguards on staff and the pool staff tended to snap at children a lot for minor things."

"Do not stay here! I would never wish to stay at this hotel unless it were my absolute last option! I booked a room with a balcony which I was told didn’t exist. Indeed they do exist but for some reason there must had been none available. I reserved and paid for one so that was the first disappointment of many. The rooms are as clean as could possibly be for a hotel of its age so I have zero complaints where that is concerned and commend the cleaning staff. The walls are super thin and you can literally hear every single thing your neighbor is saying. I was on the fifth floor in a double room just doing a staycation with a friend. We didn’t expect it to be five star but did expect to feel safe. We did not feel safe and contemplated just leaving in the middle of the night driving back to our homes in San Antonio. It was not an expensive stay but regardless a miserable one."

"Keep it short and sweet room had black mold and ants, didn’t have hot water or A/C—save your money and choose one of the many hotels nearby instead of this dump. Bring it to the attention of stafftake pictures let your bank handle it way easier than trying to get anything out of them."
