Northeast of Corpus Christi is Victoria, which is just 20 minutes from the coast by car and great spot for camping and water sports, while San Angelo, in west Texas is ranch country. Three hours northwest of San Antonio – a drive of 210 miles – San Angelo will give you a taste of life as a cowboy.
