We stayed for 1 night after our Nile cruise before we went back to Luxor. The rooms were in bad repair with peeling walls and bathroom repairs needed. It looked nothing like the picture from booking. Some of the staff were very friendly and deserve credit but several staff members were unfriendly and almost rude, as though we were burdening them by being there. The location is good if you prefer to stay on the mainland, but I would not stay here for an extended period." (We found out on our last day that if you manage to get the one table in the NW corner, it is in the sun and is not as cold as the rest).
