"I can not recommend this hotel. We stayed for 1 night after our Nile cruise before we went back to Luxor. The rooms were in bad repair with peeling walls and bathroom repairs needed. It looked nothing like the picture from booking. Some of the staff were very friendly and deserve credit but several staff members were unfriendly and almost rude, as though we were burdening them by being there. The location is good if you prefer to stay on the mainland, but I would not stay here for an extended period."

"Felt very private and the property has fantastic views of Aswan from up top. That said, it also means it's a bit less convenient to get into town especially by foot. The property is also connected to the main Basma hotel slightly down hill which is bigger and busier, so that's both a private and a potential issue for some. But because the Exec Club is more private, service was more attentive and privacy away from heavy traffic was better."

"Friendly staff. Walking distance to Corniche, Nubia museum & restaurants. Great view of the Nile. Good hot water, good breakfast. Lovely, open air rooftop restaurant (if you're not there in January like we were). Wifi slow or nonexistant on our tablets. We never could get any wifi on our iphones. Room safe not bolted down. Room thermastat seemed to have a mind of its own. No indoor eating option. Breakfast was 8 degrees celsius and very windy. Everyone was freezing. (We found out on our last day that if you manage to get the one table in the NW corner, it is in the sun and is not as cold as the rest). "
