Victorian charm meets dramatic coastline at Saltburn Pier, where the historic cliff tramway delivers you to spectacular North Sea views. Hunt for fossils along the beach at low tide, then warm up with Yorkshire tea at the clifftop gardens.
A lot of thought and work has gone in to creating a wonderfully characterful hostel in a converted mill. Its location by a stream in a steep sided cove with a beach access except at higher tide is just magic. The staff are friendly and encouraging towards adult and children alike. Suitable for kids and adults with a good imagination.

A great value for money stay. My private ensuite room basic but functional as simply needing somewhere to sleep. Hand soap provided in room but no towels.
The property does have self catering kitchens, a tv room, lounge (with board games) and conservatory.
The adjoining cafe (which is open to the public) serves full breakfasts from 7.30am and closes as 8.30pm.
Despite signage requesting quiet between 11pm and 7am, I was subjected to raised voices from a nearby room well beyond 2am.
