This Hotel could do with a serious upgrade. We would not have stayed longer in the room we had if it had been for more than one night. When we arrived and saw the view it was great, but then it went downhill. The en suite was not good at all, and the dinning room more like a canteen. After 17 days away staying at 12 different places, this was most disappointing. The Good were the general facilities but overall, the hotel in places is looking tired. The Average were room facilities eg, no toilet brush, shower head not functioning properly. mirror set too high at dressing table and no light here either. The room was clean and all equipment in the room was in good condition. There was limited space in the room. The bathroom was well appointed and spacious and the bath, shower, basin and toilet were all in good condition and looked relatively new. They then went on to buy us dinner and a lovely bottle of wine because of the inconvenience all of which was unexpected but very much appreciated. The hotel has a lovely location with excellent views, the rooms are spacious, the food is to an excellent standard and all the staff at the hotel go above and beyond to ensure that you have a wonderful stay. It's a lovely small hotel with a nice restaurant & small bar, in a quiet location on the hilltop overlooking the sea. Both the interior & the outside seating areas were kept very clean & the staff were all warm & friendly. We stayed in a lovely en-suite room with a partial view of the sea..it had all the usual facilities & a reall comfy bed. Can't comment on the lunch/dinner menus as we only had breakfast, which was lovely. It's in a great location for walkers...quite near to the beach, however, it is a steep descent to it - which isn't a problem as there are quite a few resting areas. The staff were brilliant. the room was well heated and the bed was so comfy. We stayed for the evening meal which was cooked to order and beautifully done.
