Complimentary breakfast in the morning, and the food was great! They also serve a light dinner, but we never got around to trying it out. The rooms were good. You can tell the hotel is a little aged, but it wouldn't deter us from staying another night. It just had the smell of an older hotel, like I said, we would stay again.

Old and cheap

Posted 07-Feb-2016
Pictures on website don't capture the true condition of this facility. Worn armrests on lobby chairs, faded carpeting, dull lighting, banged up doors and walls, etc. Free breakfast should be free as nobody would pay for that. Meds. Food service scrambled eggs, overcooked Frozen sausages, canned fruit medley in sugary syrup, wow. Ricky Bobby would feel right at home. Company must be spending funds for needed renovation on 'consultants' who are obviously the ones posting the overwhelmingly positive online reviews.

Thank you for taking the time review your stay with us. Our principal goal is to provide dependable service to each guest during their stay. It was disappointing to learn that your recent experience with us was less than satisfactory and we sincerely apologize. As part of our 2016 goal to create a home away from home for our guests, we have capital expense projects planned to improve the quality of our lobby and hotel. I want you to know that the comments and suggestions we receive are taken seriously and your willingness to share your experience is genuinely appreciated.

Good Hotel for the price

Posted 06-Feb-2016
This hotel is older and seems only partially updated. The single elevator is very slow and small. The free breakfast buffet was very crowded but good selections for a nice hot meal. Also a free dinner but not exactly my choices that I would like. Worst complaint is the thin walls and ceilings that allows the room to be noisy most of the time for anyone who is a light sleeper. The pool was nice, heated, and clean. Heater worked really well as it was below freezing everyday. This hotel was full of customers that we're going skiing everyday at the nearby locations. Our room was a nice large suite with plenty of space and the bathroom and shower was functioning well. Overall it's a great deal for the price if you don't mind a busy place with a lot of people passing through making it not so peaceful and quiet.

Great deal exceeding star rating and cost of stay

Posted 05-Feb-2016
Pros: All the above
Cons: Can't think of anything
Location: See above
Crystal Inn is a wonderful place to stay. Such a reasonable cost, including so much, with its very accommodating rooms, great complete breakfast, and even a nice dinner. Staff is very nice and responsive. We came to Utah to ski and all the hotel's associated offerings of transportation to the resort shuttle and daily conditions reports are so helpful

Nice hotel with access to ski slopes by shuttle

Posted 01-Feb-2016
Pros: The staff, the fact that they shuttle where you need to go since we traveled by plane.
Cons: the dinner could be a little more substantial but it is filling.
Location: Skiing, shopping, and many restaurants to eat at.
My wife and I recently stayed at the Crystal Inns and Suites in Salt Lake City and had a wonderful time. The staff is extremely friendly, especially Kris, Ken and Catalina. They have a good breakfast and a decent dinner. If you want to go anywhere in the Murray/Midvale are they will shuttle you to your destination with a smile. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. The pool and hot tub are a great bonus also. Our whole experience was wonderful.

Central Location convenient to all the ski resorts

Posted 31-Jan-2016
Pros: Convenience to all the ski resorts and to the dining options in Salt Lake metro area
Cons: The scrambled eggs aren't as good as they used to be.
Crystal Inn Midvale provides a great option for skiers with a good hot breakfast buffet, decent hot tub and indoor pool and even a light dinner if you decide to stay in at night. While nothing is fancy, it is always been well maintained, clean and comfortable and has always had friendly staff. Nice sized rooms as well.

Decent, clean rooms with extra sitting space for relaxing. Bathroom is small (difficult to close door w/o getting pushed against toilet) and sinks (though two) are out in the main room.

Easy check in, front staff very friendly, nice size room, comfy bed, lots of pillows. Dinner was a nice surprise and breakfast was great. I would highly recommend this hotel.
