A great country property in fantastic countryside. A good courtyard area where you can enjoy a glass of wine weather permitting. Rooms were great , staff were great , location was great. What more could you want .. oh and lots of parking

This is a gem of a place to stay. Nestled in a quiet and serene farmhouse style hotel. So quaint, magical. No place quite like it. We hope to go back. Give it a try!

The perfect location for the start of our D-Day Beaches trip. A country setting close to Utah Beach, and both the rooms & staff were great. This place is Normandy. Be sure to make both dinner & breakfast reservations for the full experience.

Good hotel
Lovely quiet hotel. Rural setting and close to Utah beach. Restaurant at hotel was very good. Service very good. The receptionist could be a little more friendly welcoming guests but overall, we would stay here again.

Great family stay over
A fantastic stay for my family, would like to have stayed a few days, great stay on a working farm, fantastic food, service , kids especially loved the games room. We will be back!

Wonderful establishment, peaceful location and magnificent rooms. Restaurant and bar onsite and decided to eat here as opposed to St.Marie-Eglise and we were not disappointed. Fascinated watching the birds flitting between their nests while enjoying a beer. Would definitely come back here if in the area again!

The property is hidden in the trees, in a quiet pretty location on a side road, yet 5 minutes easy drive to Utah beach and Museum. The rooms were nice and bathrooms modern and excellent. Restaurant was fantastic, good people and great food. I loved breakfast! I loved the views and the serenity. Sitting in the courtyard with a glass of wine and been sausge they grew as evening came was perfect.

Amazing will describe well the location of the establishment, the staff, and the restaurant. The only critic I have is the carpets which are shabby and therefore not very clean. Most charming and most recommended.

A great base for exploring the Normandy Landing beaches. More a restaurant with rooms than a full service hotel, with comfortable beds and modern bathrooms although the overall decor is a little tired. The staff are friendly and the food excellent both at breakfast and dinner. A great games room upstairs from the restaurant offered a huge selection of board games as well as a pool table, offering fun for all the family.

The property is essentially a very nice country inn. The rooms are spacious and creatively appointed. Extremely comfortable. The restaurant is pretty amazing offering a great selection of food, wine and other cocktails. Overall, a surprising gem at a very reasonable price. Perfect location for exploring Normandy.

We stayed here on our way home.It is a lovely quirky hotel with great staff.Our room was in the main house but there were also rooms around a courtyard with outdoor seating. Breakfast was self service with the option of cooked eggs, with excellent choices of croissants etc.We had dinner in the restaurant which was very good.As the hotel is near to the D-day landing beach’s the hotel provides lots of information about routes and places to visit. We would definitely go back and perhaps use it as a base for exploring the area.

Great hotel with restaurant, close to Utah beach
This is the perfect French getaway house. We only stayed for one night but would love to go back. The rooms are spacious and clean, staff incredibly friendly and food amazing. We ate in the restaurant Saturday night and enjoyed lots of local food. Breakfast was vast and lovely. We really did enjoy our stay and wish we had longer here. It is only a couple of miles from Utah beaches and set within the French countryside- perfect location to make the most of the history here.

Wonderful Property!
The property is beautiful. The room very large and the bed super comfy. Dinner in the property restaurant was one of the best on our trip. Everyone super freindly and attentive. Great location for going to Utah beach and the museum.

A stunning property and a great vibe
This is beautiful property with an excellent restaurant, lovely and informed hosts, and an engaging vibe. We loved it, the hosts went out of their way to help us with directions and information. Our only suggestion was that the towels are a little tired and there were none of the typical amenities such as shampoo, lotion, etc. that we expect in a hotel of this quality. an extra plus was the collection of interesting and attractive artifacts, and a sculpture display on the property.

We had an amazing time. The property was perfect for a family of 4. We used this as our base to explore the Normandy Beach area. We returned each evening for dinner and a walk or bike ride. The owners and staff make the stay a great experience.

Rustic and charming.
Hard(y) in French means rustic. It was such a pleasure to stay at this charming countryside hotel. We stayed in room 6 and the furnishings were lovely. The room was large, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and well-lit. The restaurant was absolutely gorgeous and the food was fresh and tasty. Joe, the owner gave a us a personal tour of the place, and told us that 19 years ago he bought the property, which had been a former farm and stable in complete ruins. It is obvious that the owners take deep pride in their adorable place and love what they do. The furnishings in the rooms and restaurant represent the quaint days-gone-by era in French country life, We left wishing that we could stay longer, and isn't that what we all desire in a hotel? We loved the Grand Hard Hotel.
