When we first arrived the impression was awful, in fact when we pulled up we thought we were at the wrong place as it did not look like a hotel and we thought we got scammed, after asking a couple people outside they assured me it was the hotel indeed; that is when our disappointment started. This is NOT a 5 star hotel by any means, not by American, European or by Middle Eastern standards. Being a hotel owner in Miami I might be a little harsh, but this place is a 1 star hotel all day long. The rooms have been updated on recent years so that is definitely a plus, although if you are a bigger guy like me the toilet placement when they did the renovations may give you some trouble entering. The food is below average, we felt like eating in a school cafeteria at best, most of the stuff we tried was overcooked and/or too greasy, due to this, we stuck to the basics and ate mostly pasta, eggs and fruits and got by, it’s a shame because we came from another hotel in Cairo and every restaurant in town or hotel food there was fabulous, Egyptians really know how to cook. The gardens around the hotel are well kept, but the outside of the buildings is deteriorating, looks like they ran out of money when renovating the inside units and couldn’t afford to paint the outside buildings or fix the worn out concrete walkways. The staff does not speak English, most of the time you will not get what you asked for due to lack of them understanding English, even asking for simple items like water o

It was an amazing holiday, all the staff are doing their best to provide memorable stay. Special thanks to Mr. Remon, who went extra miles. Mr. Ahmed (restaurants manager), mainly seeing him at elements restaurant, forgive me if I write your jobtitle wrong, you are one of the best managers at Amarina, many thanks for your hospitality and respectful manners, you have made us feel that amarina is a family friendly resort, thank you for your warmth and heartfelt attitudes, your way of saying goodbye to us, shaking hands and coming all the way up until the taxi, these little details means a lot to all our family. They treat you like royalty. Nothing is neglected and they take care of everything, even the smallest thing. The exterior is beautiful and always perfect. The interior is always clean. Restaurants are really good, especially the Asian one. The beach is easily accessible and the sea is beautiful! I’d like to come back to Amarina.

We had a great vacation in the hotel. I must admit the service was beyond my expectations. The staff was very attentive, although it was fully booked, they tried really hard to please every guest. We were travelling with young kids, they loved playing in the sand or in the pools. The waterpark is great for the entire family, there are smaller sledges and very speedy ones. The bay is nice, there are 2 turtles, we could not get bored of them. There is no corall, so we took a private snorkelling trip with "Egypt Int. Aqua Center" which was amazing. The coral was colourful, the white sandy beach was great, and we even had time for fishing (of course fishes were released). Regarding the all-inclusive, the á la carte restaurants serve delicious dinner. We only missed hummus, for some reason during our stay it was missing from the menu. Regarding the entertainment team, wide variety of options for those who prefer some activity or dancing. We had a lot of fun, it is the main reason we plan to return next year. DJ A.Q. is just great, so does the manager at the front desk!

Bel hôtel, récent, grande belle chambre avec très belle vue piscine et mer. Calme et reposant. La qualité et accueil du personnel est inégal en fonction de l'interlocuteur... Restauration correcte, personne n'a été malade. Très agréable de pouvoir dîner dans 2 autres restaurants à la carte sur réservation et sans supplément. Mention spéciale pour le restaurant oriental, vraiment très bien, dommage que la mini-disco et le spectacle se déroulaient juste devant le restaurant, ce qui le rendait très bruyant. Restaurant italien moyen. Pratique également le petit restaurant de plage, même si la carte est très minimaliste. Gaufres et crêpes pour le goûter des enfants, très bien. Cocktails moyens mais beaucoup de choix. Plusieurs bars pour varier les plaisirs mais accueil des barmen là encore très différent en fonction de la personne... Spectacles pas terribles. En résumé, une bonne semaine en famille pour se reposer...

Hotel qui pourrait être très agréable dans son ensemble mais les travaux constants et le bruit qui va avec sont tout de même fort gênants pour passer des vacances reposantes. Le personnel dans son ensemble a été super accueillant et serviable. Les équipements, tels que piscines, bars, restaurants sont corrects mais, encore une fois, les travaux de finition sont en cours. Un bon point pour la restauration car le buffet de la formule all-inclusive est varié et d'un niveau très correcte. Ce n'est pas du gastronomique mais c'est honnête pour la formule.
