The location was perfect, steps away from the town center but tucked away enough that we didn’t hear any noise at all from the main plaza (and it was WILD on a Saturday night). I really enjoyed my stay here and I would have to say staying with them was really one of the highlights of my trip. Mr Diego (the owner) would recommend various areas for you visit based on your itinerary and schedule. In fact he offers a half day tour visit to the paddy fields at one of the most affordable prices in the town. There too many words to describe how great Mega View Homestay is. A very clean homestay and as the name suggests has an amazing view from the roof or if you decide to choose one of their deluxe rooms the balcony in your room, which I do recommend! The owner Diego and his staff are incredibly friendly and extremely helpful. They have a lot connections in the area if you need help around Sapa. He helped me to get a late night bus back to Hanoi for my flight after my old bus had some issues. An amazing place with truly kind and caring people, I would recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Sapa. The hotel offers great views and the rooms are large. However, it is located in a street with very steep stairs. It is not accessible by car. This should be specified in the description of the hotel. The owner helped us with our luggage; she managed to bring it to the bus by motorcycle. I don’t know how we could have managed without her help. My boy was feeling cranky after a long train ride and the owner helped us to cajole him with badminton & soccer. My 2 kids were sick during 1 day and he was kind of understanding and make it fun for my boy by asking him play soccer. He even know quite a few different languages. Can see he make effort to make every guest at his place feel good , making sure he interact with every guests. Should have ask for recommendations on food on first day, last night then I thought of asking. Only cons for family with young kids is you got to climb a flight of stairs when you go in & out of the homestay. He got my 2 kids a first taste experience of riding up the steep slope of stairs(an authentic experience of riding on motorbike) & my kids super excited & enjoyed it every much, making the stay memorable for them.
