Beautiful lodge with alpacas cows and birds. Peaceful stay with a beautiful view and hot tub and pool. The staff was friendly and helpful. Want to come back and stay here for a longer time
Impressive lodge, service is exceptional and you can see many details to make the guest stay a pleasant one. Staff is genuine and exceptional. It is an enjoyable stay. Breakfast is amazing. Will definitely go back again in summer
The staff were incredibly friendly and the property is absolutely stunning. Very luxurious room and amenities. 15 min drive to all of the restaurants etc. Definitely would recommend to anyone staying in the area.
Luxury Boutique Hotel 15 minutes north of Rotorua in a beautiful private estate setting. Very good included breakfast. Nice outdoor Horton’s, pool and sauna
Incredible stay at Hana Lodge - very unique, but lux stay. The property is just gorgeous with whimsical sculptures everywhere. Just know that you are in that you are in the countryside (not far from town), so taxis, etc. are less available if you’re traveling alone as I was. Still very worth the small effort to get into town/more touristy activities.
Supreme destination for a romantic getaways, family stay. Visiting the property is enough of vacation for those close enough.
Huge thank you to Raj and team for going above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable, and special for my birthday. You’re all brilliant.
Great B&B off the main drag. It’s secluded, but safe. We stayed in a beautiful room next to the pool area. Michelle is the BEST. She is personable, friendly and provided great suggestions. Dinner was delicious (esp the lamb rack).
Our stay at Hana was very memorable. In fact we would rate the lodge as one of the best places we have ever stayed. All of the staff were both friendly and very professional. The property and rooms were immaculate.
We dined in the restaurant and the meals were beautiful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Hana Lodge.
Thank you to all the staff.
Absolutely amazing place. Wonderful reception from the lady on the front desk, very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. Room was lovely, comfy bed, very clean, had everything we needed. Ground were scenic and enjoyed all the facilities. Restaurant was super, food incredible and the server was very sweet and friendly. Couldn't fault this place at all , highly recommended.
The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The only downside is that our steaks ordered at the on site restaurant were way overcooked. We ordered medium rare and they came out medium well and well done.
We really enjoyed our experience at the Hana. The amenities were great, the staff were fantastic and the breakfast experience was truly amazing. However, since they are a new hotel, they were still ironing out the kinks with things like their liquor license. Once they get those items in order, it should be a first class experience all around.
Fabulous place to stay, beautiful surroundings, LOVE the sculptures they are putting around the outside. You could not ask for more lovely staff. Nothing is too much trouble for the lovely manager Darsh and he is interested in everyone.
Michelle was phenomenal. She went above & beyond on every front to help cater to my wife’s feeling ill. She even personally served her coffee in her room. Well appointed room & gotta love, love, love the setting!!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Property was very pretty, it felt like a manor. Staff were great too! I didn’t love the location too much as it was 17 minutes from the centre cbd area. There are stairs only so hauling suitcases was difficult and the pool isn’t heated yet.
But! The food was great! 10/10 breakfast.
Heated towel rails, comfortable bed, ample parking. Lots to explore and take pictures of on the property itself too.
I enjoyed my stay.
The staff, room and grounds were wonderful. The staff was kind, welcoming and communicated with us before arrival. We ate dinner and breakfast on property. Dinner was good, not great. Breakfast has continental and made to order options. Breakfast is a better value. The room was clean and spacious. Only downside is the room doors aren't thick. It's easy to hear voices and luggage as other guests on your floor pass by. Resort itself is incredibly quiet and tranquil. Location is about 10-15 minutes outside of Rotorua which is ideal. We wanted to stay away from the city. The property is unique with its art, birds, animals and bamboo. Bamboo forest makes for some good pictures. It's an older house with updated rooms. The atmosphere is like a bed & breakfast environment. Service staff were all super pleasant and aimed to please. We felt very welcome and would stay here again.
Beautiful grounds and good service but some kinks to be ironed out. E.g Bathrooms with no toilet roll holders, and slow kitchen performance even with few guests.
