"Mir gefiel der authentische Charme der Unterkunft. Mein Einzelzimmer war inklusive des Bettes sehr gemütlich. Das Bad war älter, aber ebenfalls blitzsauber. Das Frühstück war vollständig inklusive leckerer Brötchen, Obstsalat, Rührei sowie gekochten Eiern und einer Müsliauswahl. Der Kaffee an sich war in Ordnung, die dazu servierte Milch schmeckte allerdings nach Kondensmilch. Hafermilch wäre schön, wird aber evtl zu wenig nachgefragt. Auf der 1. "This is a lovely little family run hotel in the high Black Forest. The owners were very accommodating, even offering to cook for us on the first night despite it being the one night a week when the restaurant is closed. The hotel owners only took over in December 2024 and are working hard to improve an already lovely place.
The breakfast spread was lovely, lots of fresh and delicious food. In the evening the menu is lots of traditional mountain food, again all delicious.
The hotel is a ski hotel in the winter, but in the summer when we went it is a great place for family walks up the high peaks of the Black Forest including Seebuck, Feldburg and Herzogenhorn. It is also just a short drive down the hill to Titisee if you want to enjoy the pleasures of the lake or the enormous indoor waterpark.
Overall it is a great spot for a few days of mountain peace and beauty. Eating breakfast whilst looking out across the cows on the hill outside eating theirs is a great way to start the day."
