Staff were excellent & helpful prior & during the stay - we paid extra for a pre-arranged early check in. We planned to get the Metro (10 mins walk) however this was closed for weekend work which meant $$$ on taxis. Restaurant options are limited - this is a local neighbourhood away from the centre of Rome but found amazing deli & coffee en route. In typical Rome style, the plumbing was evident, the electrics not modern & amenities like an iron need to be borrowed from reception when available. We stayed in a Superior Double Room on the second floor (only the Economy rooms are in the basement & this is clear when booking). Good size room with a sofa bunk bed for kids which I really liked. Modern rooms, reasonable breakfast, helpful staff. Overall we enjoyed it, felt nicer and more welcoming than the large hotels we stay in.
