The hotel bar - expensive! But superb cocktails, quiet, exclusive and felt like a high-end members' club. The concierge - friendly, helpful and exactly what you'd expect. Quiet location, despite being a 10 minute walk to the Spanish Steps. But.... The rooms are spacious, but sparse. They feel like a 3\* room. The plumbing is old, so the shower never got very hot and took FOREVER to get warm. Bathroom amenities were basic and no extra towels. One, slow elevator. So overall, better than some, but a hotel which could make a little more effort. What sets this hotel apart from all others are the staff and their attention to detail. We were overjoyed that they had our room ready when we arrived at 8am, which is 6 hours before the usual check-in time. Our room had a beautiful view! We appreciated being welcomed with fresh fruit. It was so kind of the staff to wish me happy birthday and bring up a bottle of prosecco. They recommended and arranged the perfect birthday dinner. We also really liked the cocktail bar and strongly recommend it to anyone who likes craft cocktails. Plenty space in the closet with enough wardrobes for our clothes. Bathroom was ok, a bit small to be honest and instead of the shower cap i found a bag in the box which it was confusing. We ordered a burger and they brought us a piece of steak and fries. The next morning we ordered food to our room again and after 45 minutes we had to call to check about our order. They apologized and offered it for free because of the delay but when we were making our check out, they were charging it in our bill, not cool at all.
