The only drawback was we were not made aware of any of this until the next day as the office was closed when we arrived about 4.30pm. He let us into our room early free of charge and explained to us everything we needed to know about Rome as first time visitors. The room was clean and comfortable. The walls are a little bit thin, so if you are a light sleeper, earplugs might be a good idea (worked for me :) ). The elevator is a bit antiquated. If someone forgets to close the door properly when they get of, it will be stuck on whatever floor it’s on until the door is closed. A situation which led to us having to use the stairs on some occasions. No problem for us, but something to be aware of if you for some reason have difficulty walking to the fifth floor. All in all we were very happy with our stay. The hotel was perfectly located near the train station, only a few minutes walk. Everything was really clean and all in good working condition. Balcony was nice extra feature.It's kind of low end hotel but like said all was clean and good condition and friendly personnel. But the rooms are really small and shower size is a joke. Me being normal size person I had difficulties to get in and take a proper shower. The staff at the hotel was kind and spoke English very well. The location of the hotel is good since it’s close to the Roma Termini station where one can easily take the subway or train. As for the room, we didn’t find it pleasing. The bed sheets were stained and occasionally had someone else’s hair in them. The ”towels” were not changed every day. The soundproofing of the room was terrible: our room was next to the reception where we could hear everything. In addition, the balcony was very modest and the view was uninspiring. The breakfast was served at a café nearby. I think the staff there could have been more friendly and welcoming towards us. The breakfast included one hot or cold drink and a pastry.
