Our cosy and welcoming apartment, renovated in 2019, ideal for couples, friends or lonely travelers, is equipped with all the necessary comforts for a pleasant stay in the center of Rome: fridge, microwave oven, toaster, hairdryer, iron, tv, heating system, dishwasher, air conditioning, WI-FI The apartment consists of a double bedroom with a wonderful view over Campo De 'Fiori, bathroom and kitchen. We are in a building dating back from 1500 that whispers the history of one of the most representative squares of Rome. From here you will have the opportunity to travel back in time by having a walk in the lively streets of the neighborhood, making it the starting point to discover the most beautiful city in the world: from Campo De’ Fiori to Piazza Navona, from the Pantheon to Piazza Di Spagna up to the Coliseum and all the wonders of the Eternal City. The fee is inclusive of bed linen, towels and all consumptions. Check in: between 15 and 20.30 Check out: before 10:30\. LOCATION Until 1400 the square did not exist as we know it nowadays: there was just a nice flowery meadow with some cultivated gardens and that is the reason why it is called Campo De’ Fiori (Flower Field). In the following centuries, with various urban interventions ordered by the Popes, the area was animated by various mercantile and artisan activities. Just look at the names of the streets - via dei Pettinari, Balestrari, Giubbonari, Catinari, Baullari, just to name a few - to imagine manufacturers and sellers of bodices and crockery together with butchers, leather tanners, dyers and millers at work. Even today this intense activity survives in the open fruit and vegetable market on the Piazza, in some historic shops, mixed with art galleries, fashionable shops and Roman taverns where you can try the famous Coda Alla Vaccinara, a traditional dish born in the district. The central position of the property guarantees short walks within 15/20 minutes on foot to admire the most important historical and archaeological sites of the city. The area is well served by public transport, typical Roman, Italian and foreign restaurants, supermarkets and outdoor markets. Apt is quiet because of excellent windows and and a/c works well. It is in a sixteenth century structure so stairs are a bit tricky especially for a dynamic -- though mobile -- geriatric. Another recommendation -- maybe I missed it, but it would be useful to have a bible for the apartment. I’m at my daughter who had been studying abroad for the semester in Italy for a week in Rome. We found this apartment to be absolutely charming, perfectly located and ideal in every way! We loved the market that was open every day right outside our windows, and then how they transformed it so quickly in the evening to a place to go out and have so many people gathered together. The windows are extremely thick and when you shut the window windows and the shutters, you aren’t really bothered by any of the noise outside! The unit was beautiful. Looks just like the pictures. And it was sent to everywhere we needed to go in Rome. We walked to all of the major places and really only took the bus once! Would absolutely stay here again. The location of the apartment is awesome. The daily market in Campo de' Fiori is very unique as it's a bustling market during the day and a quiet piazza at night. Marta was great with providing information before arrival and arranging a driver from the airport to the apartment and then from the apartment to the train station on departure. Elena was a joy to work with when checking in and provided us with great information to let us know about the location and what it had to offer. Tis was a four day stay to start our two week Italian vacation and I couldn't be more happy with our experience. The only note I will add (and it's not a negative for the property owners), but it is located on the second floor with no elevator. So people with accessibility or mobility issues, it might not be good for you. Other than that, absolutely awesome! Thanks Charme Holidays! We have been to Rome many times and love being in an apartment rather than a hotel. We love the Campo di Fiore area. Despite it being a lively, noisy area the sound proof windows blocked any noise. The apartment is well furnished, newly renovated with all conveniences. Good AC. The kitchen has everything: coffee maker, espresso maker, toaster, stove top, dishwasher and refrigerator, all new and neatly built in. It is well stocked with dinner ware, cutlery, pots and pans. The bed is very comfortable, also new. Shower is also new, has good water pressure and hot water. It is very ample and comfortable for two people. The only caution is that it is up 3 flights of stairs, not a problem for us, but one should be aware of this when reserving. Marta the host was excellent. Met us there, readily available, and arranged smooth airport transfers. We will stay again when we return to Rome. ##### JON AND LEXI B.
