The only significant advantage of the Aquarium Hotel is its proximity to the main railroad station, about 500 meters from the main entrance to the station. At my arrival, the person at the reception desk was unfriendly and did not provide the appropriate information about the hotel. For example, he did not tell me that the stairs and entrance door he used to take me to my room were not to be used during my stay. Maybe he did not speak enough Italian to express himself. The other members of the staff I encountered were courteous and helpful.
I view this hotel, as others in the vicinity of Stazione Termini, as a convenient stay when in transit in Rome and in need of getting to trains and buses easily. Nothing else. Contrary to the local custom, breakfast is not included. My Expedia notes indicated a fee of Euro 22 for "continental" breakfast.
