"What a lovely place ! The staff were very welcoming and the property and rooms were just wonderful: the room was clean and spacious and well appointed. The bathroom was a nice size with a nice sized shower. Sometimes it’s the little things that make the stay better, like good quality toilet paper, bottles of water, tea, coffee and biscuits. Nice sized TV and a good sized fridge in the room. Very quiet room and comfy bed. We both sleep very well. Breakfast was spot on, full English plus a choice of continental on top. We will stay here again in a heartbeat if we are in the area. Highly recommend and we think very good value for money."

"It was a surprise trip for hubby. As we pulled up to the gates, he let out a huge WOW, I did too. The lady that greeted us and showed us around was lovely. Our room, the Nest, was beautiful as was the rest of the castle. We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast and met other members of staff, they were lovely. It was like being in a fairy tale. "Obviously a lot of effort has been made by the new owners to create a comfortable and upgraded environment. They are working hard and constantly on what was obviously a worn down building. Looking out from the room the gardens and view is spectacular. The room was large and comfy with great, instant hot water and lovely deep bath. Authentic home cooked curry was delicious."
