Close to the wildlife park which was the main reason for our 2 night stay in Doncaster. With a very good pub just up the road which also did a huge carvery every day at a cost £6.95 this made our visit well worth it, I was a little disappointed with the park, but we did see the bears.

Pocket Guide: Robin Hood Robin Hood Hotels

Robin Hood Airport in South Yorkshire is three miles to the south of Doncaster and less than 20 miles from Sheffield. Named after the famous folk hero, the airport has a great choice of accommodation including corporate-style international brands but also more local affairs such as bed & breakfasts. These latter are usually family-run and offer a homely experience and home-cooked fare which many visitors might find preferable to dining in the bigger chains.

Where is Robin Hood Airport?

Robin Hood Airport is located close to Castle Park and the famous Doncaster Racecourse. Yorkshire Wildlife Park is also just a short drive away and when based at any of the big hotels or guesthouses in the area you’ll have quick and easy access to these and many other local attractions. Wherever you choose to stay, you’re guaranteed a hearty welcome, excellent accommodation, entertainment (either onsite or close) by and a true Yorkshire dining experience. Much of the food in this region is sourced locally from surrounding farms and is strictly seasonal, especially in the guesthouses, so you’re in for a real culinary treat.

Business on the Move at Robin Hood

Robin Hood Airport is supplied with fast broadband connectivity, increasingly in demand by the general public for leisure purposes, but particularly important to the business community and a critical requirement for international trade. Business never stops, after all, and commercial travellers will find everything they need to keep in touch, both in the airport complex itself and in the hotel and guesthouse accommodation of the surrounding area. As the internet isn’t the be all and end all of corporate life, Robin Hood Airport hotels also offer a range of other commercially-oriented services and facilities, including conference and meeting rooms.

Keeping in Shape at Robin Hood Airport Hotels

There are several good spa hotels close to Robin Hood Airport, and in the grand Doncaster and Sheffield hotels you’ll find world-class facilities such as massage services, swimming pools and sports centres. Even if you’re based in a B&B between Doncaster and the airport you’ll find that you’re never far from a local sports hall or pool, so if you’re into exercise in any shape or form, or just want to chill out, it’s all on your doorstep in this part of South Yorkshire.

Get Out and About from Robin Hood

Robin Hood Airport is set in the very heart of one of England’s most heritage-rich regions, and whether you’re staying in a grand international hotel chain or have opted for a small and homely B&B out in the countryside, there’s always plenty to see and do around here. From ancient Norman castles and elegant Regency buildings, and from horses and steam locomotives, you’ll find it all. Sheffield and Doncaster have excellent shopping venues and a lively nightlife, but even in the smaller towns and villages nearer the airport where you may be located there’s always the traditional local pub and a choice of eateries. Explore this beautiful region of Yorkshire using your hotel or guesthouse as a base and you won’t be disappointed, that’s guaranteed!
