Really lovely staff. Rio is a little sketchy, the receptionist staff gave us lots of advice to stay safe. The hotel rooms were a good size and clean. They could do with more pool loungers. The breakfast was 10/10 and the coffee machine was an extra bonus
A roach climbed out of the drain from the shower. There was a lot of mildew and mold in the shower and restroom area. The bed kept slipping off the frame every time you got on. The WiFi was not consistent and spotty as hell. The TV was also not consistent and often didn’t have signal. The breakfast Buffett was alright.
However, the staff were really nice and helpful, and it was in a great location. You get what you pay for.
We stayed as a family of 4 (2 adults and children aged 3 and 6) and had a very enjoyable stay. Our flight arrived early and the hotel kindly allowed us to check in ahead of schedule, which was hugely appreciated after travelling with young children.
Although we booked a triple room, the hotel provided an additional bed for our youngest child, making the room work well for our family. The staff were excellent throughout our stay, always happy to help with taxis, luggage, and any questions we had.
The location is fantastic – only around a 4-minute walk to Copacabana Beach, with plenty of restaurants and food options nearby. We also felt very safe walking around the neighbourhood. Other highlights were the powerful shower and the breakfast buffet, which offered a good variety of options each morning.
The only downsides were that the hotel feels a little dated in places, and the Wi-Fi could be patchy at times. Overall, though, it was a great stay and we'd happily return.
The wi-fi isn’t good. I had to use my data most of the time. The pool was ok, and the breakfast too. There are no other food services offered. There’s no gym in the hotel. There is one next door, but they don’t accept credit card payments (not very practical for tourists).
Except for the proximity to the beach, this hotel doesn’t have much to offer.
No cleanning until we requested on the day we arrived, bed with a pen and sand inside.
Shower with soap on the walls.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
This hotel is ok for a one/two night stay.
It is clean, but needs redecorating. Additionally, the WiFi is poor and there is poor cell reception in the building for day.
We stayed here for a night because the airline canceled our flight and we really needed wifi to change/book/plan reservations, but wifi does not work on the upper floors.
There are 2 Peters that work here -1 is a good one and other is the rotten apple. I hope you all get the good one.
Dirty window, broken shower. No gym or working sauna. No pool with water. Wifi was so bad! Very dissatisfied with the hotel! Will not recommend

Its an outdated hotel but you will be comfortable based on your needs. Had ac and hot water, wifi gave some trouble, but i would call for assistance and they aided as best possible. Having a Tv was of no use since none of the cable channels were in English. Its central, good for walking to anything u could need, food, grocery options, beach and ideal for some tour pickups. Staff is helpful and friendly.

Immediate Checkout Due to Unresolved bathroom and Noise Issues
Since this morning, I have been experiencing serious issues with the water supply in my room.
First, only hot water was coming out and there was no cold water, so I requested a repair. When I returned to the room later, only cold water was working. I reported the issue again, and now the situation has reversed once more—there is only hot water and no cold water at all.
This problem has never been properly resolved.
In addition to this, I did not sleep at all last night due to constant noise and strong vibrations. The air conditioner from the neighboring room causes my window to shake continuously, making it impossible to rest.
Because of these unresolved issues, I will be checking out today. I did not sleep, I will not be having breakfast tomorrow, and the water problem was never fixed.
After I check out, I ask that you enter my room to personally confirm that the cold water does not work and to experience for yourself the severe vibration and noise caused by the neighboring air conditioner.
Please contact me only after you have verified these problems directly in my room.
This situation has caused significant discomfort and inconvenience.
Ps
After checking out, my Uber was waiting outside, but your staff stopped me from leaving and made me wait for a room inspection. Because of this delay, I was unable to get into my Uber. Please provide appropriate compensation for this inconvenience.

JUST DON’T BOOK THERE!!
It all started at check-in. I thought I had paid already because the hotel should have charged the whole amount for the six day stay in two payments before I arrived. It did not for what I know now, obvious reasons … to fleece the guest!
I was asked how I wanted to pay and I paid with my Citi credit card. And that is where this scam came in. When I looked at my statement a few days later, I saw that there was a surcharge of about 12% built into the total charge that I paid.
I complained. And first they played dumb. They said they could not look up what I had paid. Nonsense!
In the end they could. And then it turned out that without me making that choice or offering me a choice, they put the charge through in USD. I just did not notice this. Watch out for the guy at the front desk (Serge).
At other places that I stayed or ate in Brazil, you are given the choice and as every experienced traveler knows, it’s always best to pay in local currency.
What a rip-off and it was not an accidental rip-off. The system was set up to default to USD, because they get a cut of the surcharge.
The room was very small. The Internet was bad and sometimes for hours not available at all. The breakfast was so-so at best.
In the end, I checked out 3 days early, because of the lousy internet etc. and because his rip-off which cost me $47 had turned me off completely.
I do not support any business with such practices.
Do not book there! Ever!!
