"The Riad is absolutely gorgeous, and would have easily earned 5 stars if not for the rude and scammy hotel manager who ruined the experience. It’s a mystery how that man works in the hospitality industry. We had 2 rooms as there were 3 of us. When 2 of us came up for breakfast, he rudely said that they have cooked food for 3 people so will bring all 3 people’s food together. When we said the third person is asleep, he refused to agree to serve them separately when they came up (within the breakfast window), “because we have cooked 3 people’s food for you”. When the food arrived, the ONLY cooked item was a couple of fried eggs. The rest of it was just fruits, bread etc. that had been hastily thrown together - picture included. Just a ruined breakfast experience for nothing. While leaving, we asked the same guy where we should walk to get a cab. He said that that’s not possible, and the only way to get a cab is to book one through him for MAD 250. He argued multiple times that we should have done that in advance. He then claimed that a taxi we flag down near the medina “is not allowed to go to the airport”. Eventually sick of him, we walked out, and 5 minutes reached the street and instantly flagged a taxi to the airport for 100 MAD. Apart from the rude, scammy, lying manager, the riad is wonderful. Well located, genuinely beautiful inside, helpful staff (apart from the one), comfortable beds and good WiFi."

"great property with beautifully manicured gardens and lobby , nice restaurants and food quality was top notch. be warned that like any hotel they charge on your card at check in for possible extras but ask you to pay for extras again at check out sayinh they will release your initial amount of MAD 2000, 5 days later I am still waiting for that initial deposit to be credited back into my account"

"I’ll start with the good. The location is great and the staff with the exception of the general manager is very kind and eager, going out of their way to be helpful! The general manager put us off from the start. He really wanted to control every aspect of our stay in the city and was very critical of us for booking restaurants and tours on our own . In fact, one tour company that we used said they had many problems with our Riad not sending the guests on the tours they had pre- booked with them. There was definite tension between the two parties leaving us to question who to trust. Our hotel manager kept warning us that we would be taken advantage of by sellers . None of this made us feel good about our choices! The hotel is very beautiful in its architecture but definitely needs updating in its furnishings. The rooms are not the comfort level one expects for the price ( i.e. the linens and pillows are not good quality, there is a lack of basic incidentals like Kleenex , the bathroom lighting is insufficient, and the furniture is stained and worn. Overall I would not recommend this hotel for the price. Also beware of the room you are booking.., our friends had no shower and had to go up 6 steep stairs to use their bathroom."

"Honestly we could not give any recommendations for this place. We did actually stay because as you will read the place was terrible. Firstly the Riad people were not welcoming. If you get over that, then they point you to your room which we found smelly and dirty. The shower was down steep stairs that felt unsafe. Poke your face into the bathroom and it looked unhygienic. Find another place."
