It's characterised by its dramatic coastal views, dense redwood forests, and the iconic Klamath River Bridge. The few accommodation options here are typically secluded, offering a peaceful retreat.

The best time to go to Requa is during the late spring, summer, and early autumn months, from May through to October.

This period generally offers the most pleasant weather for exploring the Redwood National and State Parks and enjoying outdoor activities. You'll find warmer temperatures and less rain, making it ideal for hiking, wildlife viewing, and experiencing the coast. The famous "fog drip" from the coastal redwoods is a common morning occurrence, adding to the special environment, but it usually burns off to reveal sunny skies.

For couples seeking a peaceful getaway amidst nature, late spring (May-June) can be particularly appealing. The weather is typically mild, and the crowds are smaller than in the peak summer months. It's a lovely time for scenic drives along Newton B. Drury Parkway or exploring the pristine beaches nearby without feeling rushed.

Families often find the summer months (July-August) to be the most convenient for a visit. School holidays allow for longer trips, and the consistent warm weather is great for outdoor adventures like exploring Fern Canyon or kayaking on the Klamath River. There are usually more ranger-led programmes available during this time, which can be quite engaging for younger travellers.
