Having a restaurant on property was a positive. The staff was friendly. The decor is very outdated and the shape of the property is quite run down. There were very few amenities in the rooms. Definitely bare bones. Lovely location. could be so much more!

Overall pretty happy with the stay, the things I would say that were really more of a problem was the front staff was not always available, the room had a smoke smell, the hot tub jets were broken, and price of extra drinks like seltzers were $10 a can. The things I would compliment them for would be, the clean room, comfy beds, ocean view, pool stayed open for the kids until midnight, discount on lunch and dinner at the attached restaurant. Truly would say, the outside appearance doesn't give it justice. Would definitely stay again.

This is a nice sightly older property in a prime location for exploring the Redwoods, the Battery Point lighthouse and all the beaches and sights around Crescent City. The on site restaurant has a nice menu, and reasonable prices. The unobstructed ocean view, with beach access right out the back made for a lovely stay.

We only had one night to stay here, but i wish we had more time. It was a clean place, reasonably priced, but the grounds were a bit messy, with a lot of trash scattered about. The view made up for all that, and the jacuzzi tub in our suite was fabulous.

It was a very beautiful place and had amazing views all around . I got the king room with the balcony and it was alil smaller then expected but was rather comfortable so did not matter and just enjoyed the comfy bed , was definitely worth it . Also the restaurant there was absolutely delicious both drinks and food , with great prices and views . Also got to end the night going for a swim and relaxing in the hottub .it was such a good trip and thankful i picked the ocean front lodge like theres so much i could say that was great about it but you will have to check it out yourself my words do it no justice it was amazing. Highly recommend staying here and i definitely plan on doing so again but definitely going to check out the king suite this time ..

Okay so hear me out, if you can get over the smell this is a great stay. Just make sure to get a nicer room it sounds like, I had a balcony and jacuzzi room and it definetly felt like ballin on a budget with the view and immediate beach access. Would stay again.
