"Very friendly and helpful owners, our room was clean and comfortable and only a short walk from the city centre, would definitely stay there again when we come back to York."

"I loved it.
Bed was so comfortable.
The breakfast was 10/10.
I am so glad I stayed at this location! 5 min walk to the historic center of town but quiet at the B&B."

Pam and I were made very welcome and didn’t feel like outsiders at all. Brilliant decor and comfort. I would highly recommend Oliver’s Guesthouse

I was completely unprepared for the Grange , when I booked only as a bed for the night. It is an impressive Georgian edifice rendered friendly and comfortable by furnishings and smiles. The owners are like aunty and uncle who can't do enough for you, without intruding. Amazing value. Highly recommended.

We had a 4 night stay to celebrate my birthday. What a beautiful place the Burtonstone inn is. A moden pub with 8 letting rooms. All the rooms are 1st floor with ensuite. Some have extra beds for kids to share. All are well thought out with nice modern touches.
Water , tea, coffee, etc. Hair drier , tv and free wifi. Are all provided. The owners and staff are very friendly and efficient. Nothing is too much trouble. 10/15 minutes walk to city center and its many interests, sites , shops...

Property lovely, high standard interior.
Staff on reception felt a little awkward as if on guard sat at a desk near the stairs but were always friendly.
Access was a little difficult due to cars parked around the entrance to the car park. I guess to avoid the additional charge per night extra charge which we paid. Upon leaving our car was covered in tree sap but it will wash off.
We stayed for 4 days and no one came into our room to empty our bins, replenish toiletries or restock the hot drink...

A very traditional bed and breakfast guest house. The room was excellent with probably the best hotel bed for comfort I have ever stayed in. It was immaculately clean. The breakfast was a very traditional English breakfast; cooked and served promptly with care and attention to detail. Extra toast and orange juice offered without prompting. The only ultra minor glitch was my fault - I couldn't find the wi fi code till I discovered it by the door in the room instructions notice! Doh!! One tip. If...

Always been impressed by the personal service by the owners. Rooms are spacious, very clean, beautifully decorated. Beds are extremely comfortable. Breakfast is fabulous. Cannot fault any of it and it's our 3rd stay. A leisurely stroll to the city centre and perfect for many attractions and restaurants. Highly recommended in every aspect. A bonus in having their own car park too. Staff are all very helpful and polite and nothing is ever at trouble. Looking forward to our next stay.

Neat, clean, and comfortable room above a local pub. Thought it would be noisy, but surprisingly not. Very centrally located and short walk from the station and to the Minster/old city etc.
