Oh my goodness, myself and my husband cannot rate this hotel highly enough. It is pure perfection. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, the food, ambiance and hotel/room was more than perfect. We had a wonderful relaxing week at Vale da Lapa in April with our two young sons. The villa was spacious, well equipped and cleaned every day if you want it to be.
The swimming pools are great and the boys loved them. It was quite quiet the week we were there, so we often had them to ourselves. We also used the spa facilities and these were great too.

This was a great hotel apartment with excellent facilities, particularly those travelling with young children. The apartment had a modern kitchen, huge dining/living area, bedroom for the kids with their own toilet/shower and a master on-suite bedroom. Plus a decent balcony overlooking the pool.
The staff were on the whole friendly and spoke good English.
The facilities were very good, with plenty of sunbeds around the pool and an indoor heated pool for young children

Started in a 2 bedroom apartment overlooking the swimming pool. The apartments are great.
Good points: Lots of space, an extremely well equipped kitchen, clean, largeTV & a DVD player, apartments generally finished to a high standard, no shortage of sun loungers at pool, secure car park, good wifi.
Bad points: very few but little sun on balcony if overlooking the pool, only 1 sun lounger on balcony, hard beds.
